You like tepache? Anyone who likes tepache's gotta be a pretty normal guy, with excellent standards. How is it you even know tepache?

Not as potent as the usual drinks posted on here but I just made a new batch tonight and I’m willing to bet this hasn’t ever been posted on here before....

Well, I heard back from my doctor about my MRI. Back is hamburger. He used a lot of big words about my discs in my lower back, but all I remember is "moderate to severe". We are going to try injections of cortisone (no fun I'm sure) as opposed to surgery. I have been totally worthless since February, constant pain, no sleep. It has been hard to function on just a couple hours of sleep every night for 4 months.

Going out today in the sunshine to pick up some prescriptions. My easiest straw to get my hands on was my Cappas Bogart. It will be nice around here for a week or so. Better get my winter hats into storage and break out the straw collection.

Went to see Mike Miller yesterday, I have some photography to do. And, I'm looking forward to my newest commission of a really special straw! (more on that later) I have been out of the loop tooooooo long!

Man, sorry to hear about your back: hope the shots work. Does it help that you’re looking styling and sharp in your discomfort?

Venturing out for a production meeting for the next play I'm doing. It is coming up real quick, they will be rehearsing all summer. We are the first community theater in our area to be doing Mama Mia! Music throughout from Abba. Most of the kids auditioning weren't even born when we were digging this music! Feeling quite summery this morning, pain level is low. Wearing my Homero Ortega (Via Doug!) "Ben Affleck" special. Wild hat with a wilder plug. It used to make Bob puke, a claim to fame!

Nice hat. Very nice.
As far as the play, break a leg!

My daughter starts rehersals for Tarzan tomorrow night. She returned to community theater last year after graduating Kent with a musical theater degree then getting her dreams deflated in NYC twelve years back. The twins are out of diapers and she's spreading her wings again.

Envy is a terrible sin, but I'm not ashamed to say the green eyed monster has risen it's ugly head over the last few days looking at all the wonderful hats you guys have been wearing and posting. My envy is a sign of admiration. I doff my humble cap to you all.
"Luckily" it was coldish enough for me to don this 1950s Battersby Homburg on my evening walk this evening.
I love the fact that it was made in Manchester, sold in Finland, found it's way to Holland (Stefan), and finally ended up in its rightful home here with me in Elsinore, Denmark [emoji4].

Stumbling around today in this old crusty, worn Resistol Beaver Twenty Five. A typical shade of "silverbelly" for Resistol at the time. Verdigris ate through the brim at the ferrule and destroyed the ribbon and wind cord. A pic to Scott remedied that. The original ribbon matched the binding but Scott landed on a contrasting ribbon that picked up the green hues these felts have and I like it. Subtle contrast is good. I had a pristine model in a late 50-early 60's hat that I sold. Just not the same.

That's nice. I like the contrasting ribbon a lot.

You can give a man a heart attack with those photos! A spectacular hat, and your photography is always done so well. I don’t know much about photography, but I know when it’s done well. I filed those photos away for a future custom. Wow!

Well, if he photographs the sun and its spots well, I imagine hats are a piece of cake.
