<smile> My family was in Brooklyn at one point before I was born. Eastern Parkway area. I grew up in Jackson Heights. My good deeds are done in the five boroughs. I am headed east to our home in Hampton Bays to recuperate for the rest of the week. It would be fun to meet up sometime. I am down every 4-6 weeks or so.

I, err, socialized in Jackson Heights years ago, and work in Brownsville now, not terribly far from Eastern Pkwy.

PM me next time you're in the area, if you like.

So many beaches, so few hats.

You need to watch “The Cowboy Way”, Woody Harrelson(Chili Pepper) can give you some tips on the proper way to wear that hat on a nude beach

Good help is hard to find, especially in family. Beautiful girl, surroundings and hats that have stood the test of time. Take care of yourself. Obviously, someone is there for a reason.

Thank you BamaBoots. I’m a pretty lucky guy, 7 pretty granddaughters that all live close to their favorite papa...I’m

No... was working across the street from Paulie Gee's slice shop. I will try not to drift into what slice am I eating today, but I grew up eating NY style and it is still the taste that haunts me. I tweak my Ooni pies with my wife's sauce and dry mozzarella to try to get there. Went to Paulie Gee's Neapolitan joint a few blocks away and had a great time, but I preferred the slice shop pies.

She only lives a mile away now...we’re pretty tight buddy’s.

I'll say! I have 5 plus 1 grandson. They all used to live close by but no longer. They are the reason I gave up my old flip phone & went to a smart phone...they were texting me faster than I could reply on a flip phone without a keyboard!

Hanging out in Greenpoint, Brooklyn for a few days. Best pizza since the 1960s across the street from my gig. Brought a couple of berets, a Cordova cap and this Disney Gadabout, which is my go to warm weather travel lid. I totally blend in with the neighborhood, sorta. View attachment 169562

The best pizza in the whole Milky Way is Gino's East near the Watertower in Chicago.

I'll have to agree. I think one of the best pizzas I ever ate was in Chicago at a jazz educators convention.... a deep dish with sausage. It was so good I couldn't stop eating it, even after I was stuffed.

That, and a doozy of a pie I had in Aviano, Italy. Interestingly enough, the absolute worst I had was in Milan, Italy; 2 bites and I threw it into a trash bin.

Was in Jackson Heights with my wife in 2008, but we ate at a Colombian restaurant...

Love them both, the hat and anything from Donegal. The only place I know of that has a city centre with only 3 sides...a triangle and not a square...where you can have Thanksgiving dinner in the summer, and they have "end of summer sales" on the 4th of July!!!

Headed for nicer weather this week, but not today. Gannon natural paired with Donegal tweed from Magee.
