It was sold in Switzerland in the sixties

Color is "Rutenio" and the type is "Mula"

The felt is thick more than the usual Borsalino, but it happened in the Borsalino Lobbia called "Mula"
I have others with the same type of felt. Contrasting ribbon that I like even if a classic

Here's a Biltmore Western that I converted to a fedora with a tall straight crown. I found a wide vintage black ribbon and put on it. This one started out as a size 6 3/4 and I blocked it up to the 7 1/4 on a 6 inch straight sided block that a fellow Lounger, (Rockwater), made for me. I would say that my favorite era for fedoras would be the 1940s and very early '50s.

That Biltmore is a superb hat, I love it. There's a Biltmore straw amongst my summer hats that I particularly like because of it's versatility to match mostly any warm weather wear. Sadly, the front end of the brim keeps curling under. If I leave a weight on the curl it comes back into shape, but doesn't stay there, any tips or suggestions that might help?
