Thanks for this comment. When I first decided not to send this hat back to Gannon to rework, the choice was motivated largely by looking at early 20th Century hat photos and noticing how many of those hats had a lot of side-to-side taper. I wanted to have something that reflected those times and I'm really glad you picked up on that.

Here is the final bash. I'm quite happy with it. Very small changes to the one I posted the other day, but I notice them and like this much better.

BTW, what was the name of the documentary?

It turned out great!

The documentary I was referring to is called "America in Color - The 1930s". I found it on YouTube.
I have included a few still shots from the video.
