Wonky brims is usually caused from inserting a long oval head into a round oval hat.
If the hole is long enough inside the flange then you can use a smaller than usual stretcher to turn a round oval hat into a long oval.
This is very true and brim distortion is most noticeable in Stiff Felts. Unfortunately with Stiff Felts it's more difficult (tools / knowledge) to avoid / fix brim distortion after stretching / conforming (Oval or Rounded).

Brüder Böhm "Böhms Ultima", possibly 1930s and made for the Norwegian Market. This is a really fantastic Velour with a very wide Band/Bow and tall Crown. It was made by the Brüder Böhm Neutitschein / Nový Jičín, Czechoslovak factory. I acquired this Velour from Panos back in 2021.

Victor Böhm's hat manufacturing apprentice certificate (Lehrbrief), issued in 1910 by the Vienna Hatmakers Association (die Genossenschaft der Wiener Hutmacher). Back in 2015 the grandson (Jonathan) of Victor Böhm owner and chief inventor at Brüder Böhm Wien, Neutitschein / Novy Jicin sent me the photos.
