A couple of nights away had me in my Hornskov Mogul (natural beaver-bunny blend with a dark brown vintage grosgrain ribbon, and Etsuko in a black Toucan cloche.

Happy New Year... first hat photo of the day for 2025 is this Stetson Nutria Quality. Likely later 1930s, the felt quality is working man thick and rustic but the hat is finished impeccably and shows virtually no wear save a few moth nibbles. This hat came to me in its original box from FL member Zetwal who had an eye for great finds. All the best, Alan.

That's a beauty, Alan. Diggin' the quad stitched brim binding, and your facial hair adds a distinguished look.

My second post on this friendly community! Thank you for the kind welcome.

Now, this was my hat for the day. Just a normal workday in Copenhagen, but the rain was pouring down.

Luckily my Mayser fedora managed quite well and the inside remained entirely dry. Unlike my feet.

Fun little trivia. Several Scandinavian kings as well as the author H.C. Andersen bought hats from the very same old store where I acquired my Mayser.

Thanks Perry... I remember this hat created quite a stir among the old timers when Zetwal first posted it. I was happy to have a chance to buy it a year or so later. The beard is a nice surprise. I've tried it several times before - always too feeble to keep. I think it is being trained by my eyebrows. ;^)

Well.... its wintertime in East Texas! Its a Hat AND scarf morning. Decided that a nice heavy Stetson Key Club looked warm

It got a little colder than predicted overnight.... Guess we will see how that fares for thursdays predicted cold and wet event. Weather guy said this morning that the snow / sleet line for thursday has moved further south. Kinda hoping we DO get some snow. Mr Moose gets a serious case of the zoomies when snowflakes are falling. Always entertaining!

Alan, I don't know how you've managed to acquire so many phenomenal hats, in exquisite condition (time machine?), but kudos to you sir, and thank you for sharing yet another AMAZING vintage Stetson.
