That Premier is one formidable looking hat!

Today was a day in north-eastern Italy with a sneaky light as I walked in the early afternoon.

A pale pink-yellow appeared in the clouds after a gray morning

The hat is a rarity because it is branded Albertini "Argo", a hat factory founded in 1817 among the first known in Italy on Lake Maggiore.

No indication of color or type of hat.

The color is probably "Nocciola - Hazelnut" which is often found in the Panizza production.

Giovanni Panizza learned the trade in the various hat factories in that area of Lake Maggiore and Albertini was one of his mentors

To the joy and curiosity of our researcher Stefan, here is a brand to search for among those found registered in the Italian data of a far time

A friend ask for the date of the Albertini "Argo". It is directly from the thirties and ita arrived wit others, less interesting, from a remainder of old hats shop, unfortunately visited by moths. Not this one

1940s Lord Kent homburg today.

This guy seems to have magically stretched since the last time I wore him and now fits me very well.

Maybe I got a visit from the hat elves?

Whatever, this is one of my favorite felts and I’m glad it now sits down fully on my head for whatever reason.
