A beautiful color. Lift those sides and you could have a western hat to die for!
Gst well soon, Steve.
Looks like good weather out your way.
I think you are working on the world supply of Sovereign Twenties. You need to leave a few for the rest of us!
Echet Mayser "Superbe" possibly early to mid 1950s. The felt is is very soft and the brim is less stiff so not like a typical Mayser Homburg. Interesting color and great Brim Curl. I found this Soft Felt back in 2019.
Mayser Ashtray with drawings by Marga Trautloft - Mayser. I found this item back in 2010.
Gst well soon, Steve.
A very interesting hat, Randall, and a great conversation starter.A new bout of Covid has kept me housebound since Friday evening, so I haven't been able to join in the Stingymas festivities as much as I would have liked.
This evening, I thought I'd just go for it inside.
At 4cm (1.6 inches) this modern Borsalino is the stingiest brim I own.

Hopefully, I'll be out and about by Thursday. Happy Stingymas folks!

My favorite fedora always lifts my spirit.
Gotta go uptown and buy some denatured alcohol for shellac mixture.
Also get my 90 year old precious Dad a Christmas/Birthday card. View attachment 571966 View attachment 571967 View attachment 571968

Stingymas day 7:
I chose my other stingy JBS 20 for this wonderfully cold day in Alabama (it’s supposed to get down in the twenties again tonight - fantastic!)
I don’t like this one as much as the one I showed a few days back. This fellow is a size too small for me but beyond that the felt is somehow not as inspiring.
Still fun enough for Stingymas, though.
