The “forest” ribbon matches my pounamu necklace. Wearing a waistcoat for Robert.

Etsuko in her cloche. This one’s a favourite. She’s thinking of one the same in a different colour.

Dismal Sunday here, but this 40s Foxhound brightens it more than a bit!
I absolutely love this on View attachment 488996 View attachment 489000 View attachment 488997

The Foxhound is spectacular. This spiral stitched hat clicks all the "Features" box. Congrats and looking sharp.

J.C.Penney Towncraft. Speaking of overcoats, I’ve been wearing my stingy Barbizona all winter with my long coat, so it’s past time to break out this more formal lid (2” brim and bound edge) for Sunday.

You make the liong coat and stingy brim look sharp.

Eric,

Your hats are always a treat, I love all of those! Thanks for sharing.

Thanks sir.

Wow… one pristine Vagabond there.

As you know, sometimes you get lucky. This unlined light weight hat is fun to wear.

Fantastic hat, Randall!

Thanks, Bowen. I could do overcoats, but only for about a week and a bit though.

Thank you, Joe.

Another inspiring line up, Eric! Wonderful as always.

Thanks sir. Back at you for the glorious posts of late. Fun to see what folks across the water are wearing during February.

Everyone knocking it out of the park today.

I humbly submit a modern Royal Deluxe Stetsonian for consideration.

The modern Stetsonian is a hat that I regret jumping on when they had a retail life a few years ago. Your hat looks sharp.

Love the color of that Vagabond, Eric.

Thanks sir. It is a felt hue that I do not see in modern felts.

For me, that Champ is the champ!
Great hats, all!

Got to back a Champ! Thanks.

Nice pic.

Those are all fantastic hats, but that ribbon on the Portis takes the cake!

Thanks. The ribbon is indeed eye catching.

Resistol Dalworth today. One of my first eBay purchases close to 20 years ago. At the time I was looking for a vintage Open Road or Stratoliner but they were too expensive.. $30 to $50, so I went for this resistol for $20, been a resistol fan ever since.

Dang you look sharp. Suit, tie, hat and glasses are suggest a man of position and style. Thanks for sharing your pics.

Excellent hat choice with a suit Brent. You clean up well.

I hope you and your "hanging" lady enjoyed the dinner celebration.

Happy Super Bowl Sunday everyone, I'm wearing my 3X OR and watching the big game today.

An nice Open Road never goes out of style. Sharp and minty hat.

The Broker is a fav. I like everything about it. I hope the visit to Osaka was enjoyable. The cloche is classic. I definately can see another color added to the wardrobe.

Cheers to all posters, Eric -

Two hat day.
The well known Mossant and an unknown, Bergson.
The Mossant is a high quality beauty that looks good snapped up or down.
Has a 2 5/8” brim. Have too many blackies like this’n, or I’d keep it because I no longer have other Mossants. Great hats!
The Bergson is a beaut, but has a shorter brim at 2 3/8” than I like. Still wouldn’t let it go but have several in this color scheme.
They’ll both be on the eBay block tonight along with many others being even more serious contenders.
Ended up selling the 50s light blue Bantam I had and giving the 50s Oreo two tone Stetson to a friend girl. She loves both!
I gave her the two tone because I owe her a favor. She has a big business and gives away phones and monthly unlimited phone service to her workers and some close friends. I try to keep her happy since she keeps me in touch with the world and you guys!

An original 1940's Stratoliner, amazing. A few years ago I was after such a lid, but with my rather large hat size it was almost impossible to find one that would fit me. I had mentioned it here in one of the threads. Former Lounger, Esther Weis, said that she could make me one. We exchanged phone numbers and I texted her my size, in both Imperial and metric.
A while later she texted back this photo, with the caption: "Your Strat-a-like!"

It doesn't have the same rim, which I like, I'm glad it's not a direct copy.
How well it teams up with the other accoutrements, each compliment the others.

The hat lends itself well to a formal appearance just as it does the casual look. I love it,
and I love the 1940's one too.

@GHT —that’s a beauty and very like the original. Do you know what brand of felt body she uses? I love the color and Winchester doesn’t make a light grey.

Stylepark Black/Charcoal Heather
Lightweight thin soft felt
5 3/4 Open Crown 4 3/4 as shaped
2 inch spiral stitched brim with tight tiny stitched overwelt edge
1 1/2 grosgrain ribbon

It’s time to reintroduce this Stylepark that arrived here a couple years ago missing its original unreeded sweat. I finally go around to installing a new one. I purchased this burgundy sweatband from Fern Thatcher Co. I had all best intentions of properly sewing the new sweat into place, however after managing to size the new sweat properly, my lack of patience and frustration with my sewing skills led me to go ahead and install it with double sided gorilla tape. The fit feels perfect and I wore it most of the day to let it form to my head.

The felt on this Stylepark is a super soft black heather. There is very little stiffener in the crown or the brim for that matter. But easily holds shape. The two inch brim has a very cool spiral stitching. The manufacturing tag shows the Camden, NJ Stylepark factory that was sold in 1941.. that and stylings to me points to possibly 1930s hat.

I may at some point decide to go ahead and stitch this sweat into place… but for now I’m glad to have this one up and running and happy with how it came out.
