Croydon Supreme Quality - not a lot of info on this make. If memory serves @DaveProc found an ad with them looking for a salesman. The address was the same as Miller and Stetson’s NY address… but doesn’t seem like any Stetson manufacturing cues.

I have very little excuse for not wearing this hat more often!

Love that colour and ribbon and bow treatment, Joe.

Definitely a hat to wear more often.

Sometimes we need more function than form from our hats. Today is one of those days, with temps at record-breaking cold. But, as @Daniele Tanto will tell you, there are NO MOSQUITOES!! There is not much really bad weather, if you’re properly dressed.
Hat: US Army 1952 MQ-1 cold weather cap. Best cold weather hat I’ve ever found, including during the -40F days in northern Vermont during the 1970s.

Good to know the military was thinking of the big headed fella back then, Charlie. Your pup use that for a dog bed when you’re not wearing it? Stay warm, bud.

No matter the headwear, it's always worn with style and that cheeky Charlie smile.

Stay warm, my friend.

Thanks Greg.
Funny fact, this is the second MQ-1 I have owned, and both fit fine despite being 7-1/4, and this one is a 7-1/2. The first one was gifted to me around 1977. Last winter I gave that hat to a kid that helped me with chores at our cabin, because it originally belonged to either his grandfather, or great grandfather, and I thought it needed to go back to him. Then I went to Ebay for this one.
