What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Imperial Stetson today. Beautiful, very, very, obedient and soft felt.

I recently posted that I would not resize hats bought by me after the point in time of the post, and I won't.

A FL member told me last night that almost all the hats that I resized looked the same, independently of the brand and model. I disagree, but I wonder if he is correct.

Would anyone care to guess if this Imperial Stetson was modified or not? If there is interest in this exercise, I will post a different hat for several days, and reveal the answer the following morning.
I will not, of course, lie.

I have had that same opinion. However, knowing the history of some of your hats by paying attention, that has changed.

Your hats look very similar from the front. From the side, not so much. For what it's worth, I think you should vary your pinches and creases more.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.

This 1940s Stetsonian arrived today from Justin Seagraves aka @splintercellsz. So there was no question as to what I was gonna wear running errands with the wife. I don't know how Justin finds so many vintage hats in such condition but I hope his luck holds out. Of course the longer his luck holds the less funds I have.

Wow Bill, that is one nice old Stetson. It has the perfect lines for your style. Love the color.

Very late to the party, remodel hell today. They say finishing day should be Saturday, I'll believe it when I see it. Another gem from Justin, from a trade with Bill Hughes. A Stetson "The Avenue" Vita Felt in an interesting plum/brown color. Had to part with a couple of my favorite straws, but a vita-felt has been high on my list for a couple of years. This one has an unfortunate stain on the top of the brim of unknown origin. It will require some study as to mitigation. Thanks Bill, you made my day!

Yesterday I removed a similiar stain from a Borsalino with isopropyl alcohol. It did the job.

Recently acquired Stetsonian today. I really like the color combo on this one.

I still get to see it and it looks great. I always love the pale gray color of the felt and the way the ribbon and binding developed patina over the years. That hat was worn.

You really captured the color in your pics, especially the third one. Zip for me on Hale's when I had it.

Today a hat that comes from Merano and the wonderful field of hats that was the "M. Hutter" hats shop

Panizza Special color "Cognac" size 60 cm.

The felt is soft and finished with a light peach skin, very supple

As often happens the colors of the Panizza are truly unique, not as varied as the Borsalino, or details like Barbisio, but with a really beautiful variety

The beauty of the Panizza felts is given by their consistency and ability to vary with light

As always, I want to thank you for your likes and kind words.
Tonight for us it is the magical evening of Saint Lucia that brings the gifts in every house. It is a tradition of Verona and others Italian towns, very lived here, despite the fact that Christmas has become, as well as a religious festival, a large market. Anyway, tomorrow you will see my present that Saint Lucy has promised me and to the promises of the saints you can not say no!

Thanks, Greg. The patina on the ribbon really kicks it. There's still a lot of life in this one.
