Very kind of you to say so, but I have a confession to make. This evening I went to an informal party given by my tailor. Not to be confused with the lady who makes most of my clothes and whose name is Mrs Taylor.

The stingy brim was replaced, as was the Aloha shirt.

How many of us can say they're having a party with their tailor? Not many, that's for sure! You look fabulous, Robert, top to bottom.

Vancina Special velvet finish, after they were taken over by Borsalino. A just under 2 inch brim.

Happy StingyMas folks.

I like that MGL best. Such a good looking hat.

On the second day of Stingymas, I went to a work social wearing a late 40s/early 50s Stetsonian, it a teeny tiny 2 3/4" brim.

Today, the third day of Stingymas, finds me walking the dog in a Marathon, wth an itty-bitty 2 1/2" brim.

Lovely hats, both of them, Jim.

Karl Misik - O.F. Hess possibly early 1930s. Wool Mélange from my May 2015 NOS Czech find. This hat doesn't have any company markings but probably made for export. The paper label is printed in English.

Looking well put together, Matt. Makes me wonder how many at the party would refer to the hat as an "Arbeitsgeberhut".
The recently arrived G.B. Borsalino fu Lazzaro & Co soft felt. Very pleased with this one.

Thanks again to Stefan and Brent for their enabling assists with this one.

Stefan, such a compliment, thank you. I texted your remarks to John, my tailor. He texted back an amusing:
"One does have standards!"
John puts on a thank you party every Christmas. It's always a treat and he always seems to get another order out of me. Watch out for the new blazer, come Springtime.
