Cool and sunny day with the first dead leaves

I chose a hat to match the colors of the period

Borsalino Grand Prix, the color of the felt is "Miele - Honey" and the ribbon "Sepia"

The felt is finished with a medium fur and is very soft.

I thank everyone for the appreciation dedicated to the "Lupo"-colored lobbia.

I've never bought a new Borsalino, this time I broke the rule with some apprehension.

The hat was in its dusty box, protected by nylon and completely dissolved rubber belt.

Edit For all the Borsalino palette of colors lovers: "Lupo" (wolf) is one of the most indefinable grays in the very extensive Borsalino range of grays. It has some hints of brown and the dye often interprets it darker than this with results very dissimilar from each other. This one in on the "clear" side

Good morning hatted/capped folks.

This morning I sauntered about under the brim of a Warren fedora.

Home I spent time admiring the leaf barren yard that was my labor of Sunday wearing a Dobbs Leisure Time fedora. A limb fell in the strong winds last evening and a little hand saw work was a short effort while wearing the vintage hat.

Morning coffee was under the brim of a Dalton fedora.

Like many hat folk I have a lot of derbies. They ranging in age from around 1900 to the derby revival of the 1950s-60s. This is perhaps the oldest... a little out of the ordinary with its deeply scooped brim and wide ribbon with no bow. I find a well fitting derby a joy to wear and nothing cuts through a stiff breeze with more ease than a stiff hat with a D'Orsay curl.
