Both this hat and the one posted yesterday have the silver foil store imprint. Most of the marks I've seen imprinted with this foil have been in a similar flaky condition to this one. Apparently the silver material was problematic - it is rarely seen in hats after 1920 or thereabouts. The condition of the imprint for Mullen & Bluett is remarkably good in comparison to most. Both hats also have the crosshatched Fray sweatband, which has worn like iron during the century since they were produced.

I still can’t help but be amazed at how incredibly thin and light the felt of this Adam Executive E-Vent is while still holding creases with ease and no floppy wonky brim.

I might want to pull out some of my light weight/ feather weight hats and compare the felts. This one is almost a freak of nature.

Post rain cool and damp morning found me wearing a Lee Warren fedora for a morning walkabout. The stingier brim, 2.25" hat is of a highly desirable felt. The brim and hat body is soft and claylike. The felt compliments aside the crown will never be able to be changed. It's crease was "frozen" by the manufacturer.

Great shape and love the colour of that wide ribbon, Joe.
Thank you Steve. This old hat certainly has its blemishes…. But it hides most of them well. Including what I’ll describe as mothing ventilation system (MVS) hidden behind the ribbon where the crown meets the brim. ;)
