Every mind is a whole world, but I don't understand vaccination reluctance.
View attachment 365742 New customized 50s RDL going out to a hopefully happy and satisfied customer today. Since I don’t have one this color, sure won’t mind if he sends it back!

This one was a complete tear down, clean, re-block, reshape using all original parts except for the campaign bow and ribbon.
Insides aren’t mint, but cleaner than it was and the customer stated he wanted the hat in semi-beater condition so he can wear every day without fear of ruining it. View attachment 365752
Well, I'd say that was a winner. Can't wait to see what Fleur made of the others. Here I am on the first day a felt hat can be worn

The summer was long and hot, without interruptions, so I waited to be able to be on the track again.
I was lucky because after my arrival, after a week in the mountains, I found a full-bodied package waiting for me

Part of my plan to use old felts or unfinished new ones for new hats was there waiting for me

Recently produced Tonak lovingly curated by Fleur of Penumbra Hats who made it wearable.
View attachment 365521
It arrived unlined and with a very banal shape. It has been "combed" and made to be shaped as desired.
View attachment 365522
With it came other "experiments" that you will soon find in some thread dedicated to the new hats.
Buona giornata
From back when the Tonak still had all of the original Hückel know how as an asset. Lovely hat, Steve.Wore this Tonak Antelope on a little jaunt to Copenhagen today. Wonderful chocolate brown colour with a wonderful feel to the felt finish. Most of all, I love the brim shape.
Have a great weekend, folks.

It certainly is a beauty; easy to love.
This is one of my favorite hats. I like everything about it. The color, the brim curl, the crown height, the finish on the felt. I even like the moth nibbles... *SIGH*
Very neat little stingy, Joe.Caramel Dobbs Four Seasons with Cavanagh Guild Edge to help my sister-in-law move her father into assisted living. He gifted me a couple katana and some very cool cane swords.

Works a treat, Steve. I like the way they did the brim flange on that one, especially in the back.
I like everything about this one, Joe. Fantastic hat!Closing out this Cavanagh edge week with this Knox Twenty Custom Edge. A lot to love about these old Knox. Deep rich dark espresso brown felt. Knox logo wind trolley button and of course it’s wide brim with a beautiful Custom Edge. Cavanagh edge week may be coming to a close…. Though I think may have enough to do Felted edge week part Deux in a few weeks.

The weather was atrocious, but the company more than made up for it.
Great hat, Jonathan.Maybe not as rare as Jim's two-tone Stetson, but a Max-less Mac Lachlan:

Mallory Bowler. This one I wore for a little trip cycling with some collegues. The rains came and we all got soaked, including the hat. When it was wet it grew about two sizes and after I let it dry (which took about two days) it was back to its original self.

Great line up Eric. Love the ribbon on the AdamYesterday evening I did a couple errands in an Adams fedora. The muggy weather had me appreciating the unique mesh liner of this felt hat. I appreciate the appointments of this unique Adam fedora.
A bit later I was picking tomatoes and changed to a Lee All American in a "fawn" hued felt.
"How to rate an A?" Wear a Stetson Casual fedora. "Great for the country." A dog soirre this morning and a trip to the car wash in a Stetson Casual.
Cheers, Eric -

Thank you Eric. That Stetson Premier is indeed special.Dang! Just plain sharp today Reggie.
The shape of the brim is magnificent. I love the liner. I can not keep my liners as pristine as you do. Cheers.
Excellent hat IMO.
Truly an exquisite hat! The swoop, thin brim, shape of crown - everything is correct IMO. Thanks for sharing.
WOW! I am confident you can see me tippin my hat brim in your direction this morning. Just plain a wow. Your two tone and Alan's two tone are incredible vintage hats.
Thanks for sharing. Knox did it well. The closer for me is the details on the windcord. Go vintage Knox's.
Sharp, just plain sharp.
Doing the Mac Lachan hat proud! Lovely hat and thanks for sharing.
Thanks for sharing your line-up. I do look forward to your posts. Cheers.
Storing straws - good idea. You have prompted me to get off the "couch" and get going with storing.
Classy evening IMO, pizza and wine. All is good with the world.
Really! A water spigot I have down on the lower lawn broke this morning. Turned the water off and headed to the hardware store to pick-up essential repair supplies. I donned a pre-40's Stetson Special. This is hat of the Canadian Hurley's store recent find. Excellent felt and fixings. Last evening I wore the hat and it got wet in a rain. Today the ribbon shows some water marks. I will have to address that in the upcoming days. Glorious hat!
It did not take a lot of time to repair the broken water spigot. Yea!!!!!!

The underbrim pic (below) is the accurate showcase of the felt hue.
The liner details rock.
I have started a slow roast of some meats in preparation of a Hungarian Goulash. I am working the grill in a Borsolino longer haired fedora.
The quality of the felt of this vintage fedora is exceptional. A milkshake hued felt and dynamite appointments should have this fedora seeing lots of head time.
Cheers, Eric -
