Now off to Grandma's house for huge quantities of turkey and pie.
Have a great day!

Couldn't be anything else of course. Wonderful hat, John.

Wearing my Gannon in whiskey felt and copper ribbon to our family's Thanksgiving gathering. It is more brown than these pictures appear; I guess the overcast day is washing out the color.

Today I am thankful for family and friends, as always, and the kind souls here on the Lounge who have patiently answered my questions and kindly offered advice over the past year. I am thankful for the folks who are at work today to keep us safe, and for those who are always at work to keep our country free and secure. We are so blessed to live in a land where we have the freedom, security, and wealth to spend time discussing something as trivial as hats. ;)

A happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it and a blessed day to everyone,
Regan
It's looking good right now. Great shape too.

Happy thanksgiving to my fellow U.S. based loungers.

Catching some last minute stragglers at the flower shop before heading over to my mom's. Helping Jack out with some Stetson 100 insert measurements, so I figured I'd just wear this one today too.

Be safe in all your pre and post holiday travels, everyone!
Excellent, Jared. A Stetson one hundred in a size 7, now there's a find that I could do with.

The hat show has been amazing to see the past few days. I dug to the depths of the hat room and wore a couple that haven’t seen headwear in awhile.

First was this Kauffman Derby, I think very old, I remember there being a 1928 stamp on its box. Beautiful blocking and fit, and it is beginning to fray and come apart, so I treat it gingerly.

Second is a Wormser lords hat with a real cushy raw roll.

Here’s my thanksgiving dinner and family. Tumwater was behind the J.lohr, in the middle of a cleaning and recreasing.

Superb, Jeff. That Wormser is outstanding. A grey lords hat eh? Don't have one of those yet, damn.

This afternoon I wore my new to me lightweight vintage Stetson Playboy to pick up a growler at my local micro brewery.

The gray/blue felt is very lightweight. The ribbon work is blue and a very attractive hue.

I have started cleaning the hat by giving it a Coleman White Gas bath. A little TLC and the hat should be ready to go for those situations when a lightweight fedora in a gray/blue with blue ribbon is needed.

Wearing a VS sage hued beaver felt during my efforts.

Beautiful hat, Eric. These lightweight hats are great, but the conditions for wearing them unfortunately are fairly limited in my experience.

Thanks Eric. I know its not the vintage hats so many own and post - which many are simply incredible, but I think to wear a hat - brim, crown and color need to fit the wearer. I bought the same Dune a year or so ago in a size 61 (this is a 60 - with a piece of felt) and thought the hat was too large and the brim too wide - for me to feel comfortable with. To use that often repeated phrase - I felt the hat was wearing me, rather than me wearing the hat. Luckily I sold it to another member here and he wears it well - as it fits his proportions.
