What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

Great pics Brent! Great hat! Glad you got one!
The felt looks sooo...feltable feelable!!

My camera work must be better than I thought. It’s a current 6X and it’s western stiff. It’s in the fedora/hard hat genus. Eric once mentioned his crease changing as it was brushed by evergreen needles; an oak could fall on this hat and the crease would remain. However, with a misting and lots of steam it gave up its cattleman’s crease without an argument.

Just another of the many services I provide.

I’m firmly in the ham over turkey camp, but spaghetti is a new one for me. I did barbecue tri-tip a few years back and was teased without mercy but it went before the turkey.

For a couple of years at Christmass Ana couldn't make up her mind between turkey and ham, so she served smoked turkey.

I'm going to pan sear a couple sirloin steaks for our dinner... served with grilled onions and a tawny port reduction sauce. It's something I worked out through trial and error about 14 years ago and only takes a few minutes to whip up.

Wearing my Gannon in whiskey felt and copper ribbon to our family's Thanksgiving gathering. It is more brown than these pictures appear; I guess the overcast day is washing out the color.

Today I am thankful for family and friends, as always, and the kind souls here on the Lounge who have patiently answered my questions and kindly offered advice over the past year. I am thankful for the folks who are at work today to keep us safe, and for those who are always at work to keep our country free and secure. We are so blessed to live in a land where we have the freedom, security, and wealth to spend time discussing something as trivial as hats. ;)

A happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it and a blessed day to everyone,
Regan

Hey, disregard my earlier description. I now have a secret appraisal stating it was made in 1865, the first year of John Stetson’s operations. The printing on the sweat is 25 karat gold (yep, that’s 110% gold!) and it was custom made for a really famous person. Similar hats have sold for over $5,000.00, but you can have this incredibly high quality hat for only three payments of $499.00. But wait, if you act now I’ll throw in not one, not two, but three genuine horsehair hat brushes for free (you just have to cover the additional $99.00 shipping for each brush). Act now, operators are standing by.

Can you tell him I’m bored at my in-laws?

Happy thanksgiving to my fellow U.S. based loungers.

Catching some last minute stragglers at the flower shop before heading over to my mom's. Helping Jack out with some Stetson 100 insert measurements, so I figured I'd just wear this one today too.

Be safe in all your pre and post holiday travels, everyone!
Fully loaded "100" Jared. Beautiful hat! Glad it's yours.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
