Gorasgu comes in several different “finishes” but the same form i believe. That’s why they are sooo cool!

[Hats Matter]

Now for someting completely different from my collection. This is an Optimo Manhatten Blue Longhair and I believe the finish is Melusine. I ordered the hat many years ago through Carolyn Busch's shop in Menlo Park. I remeber that Graham tried to disuade me from purchasing the hat but I wanted to try it as a experiment. It is not a hat I wear often and when I do it is usually in the evening. Like many things in life it is an aquired taste.

We’re having a record-breaking long rainy season here in Japan. My Akubra Capricorn was back in business for shopping in light rain this morning.

It cleared up in the afternoon, so the barbecue was called into action. The trusty barbecue hat (Akubra Cattleman) kept the sun off my face.

Out for a dog soirée early and then home for a walkabout in a vintage Deluxe Stetson Flagship. This version of the Flagship has a Petersham ribbon treatment and of course the "Flagship" binding treatment.
