An antique parabuntal hat body that I had dreams of blocking and finishing myself. Happy that reason triumphed over fancy... Graham Thompson did a fine job (about 8 years ago). Hard to appreciate how light this hat is - 1.8 ounces on the scale, much of which is sweatband and ribbon.

So envious of this hat Alan. I have a Baku (?) body that will always be too small ... no matter who blocks it.

Today's selection for your consideration is my Optimo Deaborn fedora in black with a charcol ribbon. The feather may be a bit too much and I may change it or remove. The weather, while clement in the Bay Area, is cool and breezy so felt hats can be worn.

Thanks, Randy. It’s seen better days and it’s off to Canada’s premiere hatter for a new lease on life. I have several projects going with Wolfbrae @belfastboy and I enjoy them every bit as much as the projects I have with the big names. Your vented crown tropical felt is on my list.

VS Cuenca on a windy day with choppy waves. Somehow the hat stayed on my head in 18 mph winds.

I extended my daily swim 1/4 mile past the lifeguard tower. They are still tolerating me, now that they know I am coming out at the South end of the beach they can keep an eye on me. A 1/2 mile swim in choppy open ocean is enough for me for now.
