Mr Disney - Windsor Fifteen
4 3/4 crown as shaped - about 5 1/2 Open
2 inch grosgrain ribbon with gills
2 1/2 brim with Cavanagh edge
Wind Trolley

This Disney Windsor 15 checks off a number of boxes. I’ve wanted a wider brim Disney so this 50s Mr Disney with a two and a half inch Cavanagh edge brim definitely fits the bill. The 2 inch gills ribbon is definitely a kicker. And top it all off got it for a great deal! As this appears a 1950s hat... this one is likely made by Lee Hats and definitely has some Lee characteristics such as the DuPont water repellent. The felt is very smooth and fairly dense. I don’t think it’s had much of a pinch previously so it’s not super obedient on side dents. But that will come with time or a bit of steam.

This 2 1/2 brim fills out my grey and black Cavanagh edge line up fitting in perfectly between my 2 3/8 Resistol Kitten Finish and 2 7/8 Mac Lachlan which now range from 1 3/4 to 2 7/8. Oddly enough.. I don’t think there is an actual Cavanagh branded hat in the bunch
