Thanks, Peter.Congratulations and great photos - where did you travel to?
Nice hat, and the morels look pretty good too. While I was moving around a bunch of dirt last evening (in a Resistol) my wife was out foraging fungi.

So can I. They made some lovely hats and this one is an excellent example, Steve.Brummel's Fedora. One of the 8 new hats of this week, and one of the five from Stefan.
This is my second Brummel's. It's not a well known brand, but one I can wholeheartedly recommend. View attachment 326063 View attachment 326064
Thanks, Panos. The Howlison is a rarity for sure.Fantastic parade! I'll vote for the Howlison this time
Thanks, Steve. Glad Fleur was able to bring it back to life.Stefan, Thanks again! Fantastic series of hats from you today. The Howlison Stiff Felt is a real beauty with the form, color and tight brim work.
Magnificent, Max!C & K "Eiderdown". I think Anthony said it was 1930s, but I could be wrong.
Anyway, it is one of my faves. Light as air. View attachment 326175 View attachment 326176 View attachment 326177 View attachment 326178 View attachment 326179 View attachment 326180 View attachment 326181
I'd select that in an instant. Marvelous hat, Alan. Love those colours.Stetson Select Quality, c.1930.
Indeed quite the hat. Great proportions and nice colours. Pity about the foxing; first time I've seen that on the felt itself.View attachment 326418
The Mallory Ten - Premier Quality
Taupe to Very Light Milk Chocolate felt
5 3/4 Crown open - 5 1/4 as shaped
1 3/4 Burgundy grosgrain ribbon
2 3/4 brim with half inch rose gold grosgrain binding
I should have memorialized my guess for this mystery hat from a few weeks back that finally arrived today with its travel partner. Based on the sellers only photo of the top... I was convinced Mallory. As it seemed to echo the styling of the dark brown Mallory “whippet clone” that arrived a couple weeks ago. It is in fact The Mallory Ten and the styling may take from Whippets cues... but this is a bit bigger hat at a 2 3/4 brim. The color is sort of taupe to very light chocolate milk with soft thin felt. A good sized crown at 5 3/4. The ribbon offsets with a dark burgundy which is hard to capture correctly in the photos and a half inch contrasting rose gold brim binding. The 1817 logo date indicates post 1946 Stetson takeover... and the OPS tag narrows it as 1951 to 53 with a $10 selling price putting right in the Whippet market. Heavy brushing cleaned it up very well. But it might could use some work with a damp rag... and possibly some light sanding to remove the subtle foxing on the felt. But all and all quite a hat!

Fabulous, Steve. Good to see the velours still hanging in there before it gets too warm.Anton Peschel Neutitschein Velour possibly late 1930s early 1940s.
Another velours hanging on before temperatures get too high. Good one, Brent.
It deserves to be worn. Glad it's found a good home, Steve. One of the several "new" hats that arrived last week. Grataloup, unknown French maker. Probably 30s early 40s.
Great feel to the chamois type felt. Wonderful finishes all round.
I'll post some more in the New Hats thread. View attachment 327048 View attachment 327049
Impressive proportions on that one. Nice! The Canadian and US post working together in perfect harmony whisked this circa 40' Arminto back to me from @belfastboy. Robert did a beautiful job re-blocking hat up a size and doing a general tighten up. So much crown to work with, love it!
I'm planning on doing a compare and contrast between this brunette Arminto and the blonde, Bob passed along to me but I haven't given the other one the bath it desperately needs.

Great find, Brent. Looking good!
Good to see you got some sunshine as well, Steve. Wonderful Stetson, one of the finest made under license.Wore one of my favourite hats today that rings at least three bells for me.
Stetson Imperial, made under license in England, so Failsworth in Greater Manchester, made for and sold at the Petitgas hat shop in Copenhagen. Denmark's oldest, still in existence, hat shop.
Have a great weekend folks. View attachment 327621 View attachment 327622
