That's a pretty sweet Borsalino too! It looks just right.

I like that Chocolate V.S. a lot, Scooter. It has a commanding but relaxed presence.

Jonesy, I am totally digging the felts and the leather jackets. You need to come east and catch a cool breeze in those garments as I need to go west and catch a few waves!
Thanks. Leather and fur are just the thing for a tropical island. I havent been East in quite a few years, despite having grown up in NYC. We should do a swap, or at least a TFL convention. They are lifting the quarantine on travelers on this island in a few weeks.

The sun came out, the wind died down, and the rain let up just for a few hours yesterday. Wore my Stetson New York to my local beach. The 100% beaver felt is just right for holding a bash with just a bit of steam.

Italiano/Borsalino Week - Day 5

Borsalino Maloia

Staying with coffin box finds today. If I had planned better I could have scheduled Italian week in time that this emerald green velour like Borsalino would emerge from its coffin box on St Patty’s day. But then again why not have an extra excuse to wear this beauty.

From Saturday's trip to see Mike Miller at NW Hats, a refurbed brim break and reflange of the ~4.5 year old steel custom. Worn to lunch yesterday as eateries begin to reopen near us. Patronage to our friends at the local Mexican restaurant. We were so happy to see our friends there again, and to be out eating together.... a small thing to us, but a 50% gratuity had the server nearly in tears.

Looking good in that custom, Doug! Mike did a fantastic job. The brim looks perfect.

Why resist when it looks that good, Reggie? The profile in particular looks amazing! You look as at home under this OR as you do fedoras and homburgs.

How do you like the pure beaver felt on this hat?
Thanks, Brent! The ORs are growing on me. Checking out your cool western hats, you may make me break out into a full-blown cowboy hat one day.

As for the Pure Beaver, I am a fan. It's like the Excellent Quality. It appears to be a dress hat/ Fedora weight, so I think they did a good job for a modern production hat.
