The hat looks great Joe, despite the moths. That liner though is so cool!

Resistol Alpine/Tyrolean
4 3/4 Crown
1 7/8 raw edge brim
Thick corded band

Another alpine/tyrolean hat... this one a Resistol with a rich fuzzy brown felt. A fair amount of moth nibs under the brim and a couple on the crown. But nothing too bad.... and besides the real star of this one is it’s super cool sixties liner!

And my beater Dobbs Twenty got the call for pressure cleaning duty. And a photo shoot on a pile of sticks drying in the back yard

Looking good Mike, even with the jaw bandage. Two super hats.
Hope the surgery goes well, my friend.

This is shaping up to be quite the week. I had oral surgery to put in the stud for a dental implant, no fun. They did knock me out for this procedure, so I wore my 1950s Stetson "surgery" hat yet again. Today I ventured out to pick up some yummy pain meds and the "Love Potion #9" for my second procedure in a week at the CT Scan for my screwed up insides. I go in early in the morning after drinking this imaging juice, I think it is Barium (?). Since it was sunny today, I wore a custom Black Sheep Hat Works fedora in silver belly beaver felt. My Allen Edmonds Maxfield loafers saw the daylight today as well. Fun times...

The new ribbon works really well with the Big Knox, Terry.

Fun video. Buster should have invited his cousin Earl along to accompany him on the banjo ;-)

Wearing my Big Knox Stagecoach again today. Only this time with a new ribbon I put on it.

B, you're the best advert for those Dobbs Fortys in the classifieds. You've got me looking again now.

Today...since it’s double Dobbs Forty day in the classifieds i couldn’t resist a double down Dobbs Forty post. Seeing those classifieds had me feeling the 40s and feeling remiss not fondling the 40s enough.
So...some Forties for the fire and the fortunate fellows that find themselves fulfilled with a fine find. Well...i’m outta “f”s so fare thee well.
And safe.

Super looking OR, Joe. The spider steals the show, though. That's a beauty.

Stetson Twenty Five - The Open Road
Silverbelly
4 3/8 crown as shaped - about 5 1/4 open
3/8 light golden grosgrain ribbon
2 1/2 brim with 1/8 matching binding

I’m really happy with this latest arrival... Stetson Twenty Five Open Road. It has a real nice feel to it... shapes very well and has a nice profile. No paper tag under the sweat... I was thinking early to mid 60s. (Editing myself... mid 1950s) If anyone has anymore insight on age. A few small blemishes here and there in the felt nothing significant.. A bit of an abrasion in one small area of the brim binding and the wind trolley has been removed. But all and all I am really happy with this hat. It fits and feels great... I suspect it will get a good amount of wear.

I decided to clean up our little backyard patio table nook overlooking the lake and we were enjoying a beverage at sunset... until it appeared... something was overlooking us!

I really like that Biltmore, Michael. Great shadow photos, too. I love seeing my shadow, especially in a hat. My shadows are my best feature :)

Biltmore Golden Pheasant for the morning wear.
