Daniele, Thanks! Great seeing you in the studio in front of your hat collection. Brings back super memories! I hope Santa Lucia rewards your good deeds this evening!
Dear Steve thanks, I took this Habig as an example of quality, but I may have done it with many of the hats you have been wearing in the last few weeks. We are ready for Santa Lucia, Ginevra returned from Venezia this morning just for the occasion, now we are going to put the gifts on the table for tomorrow morning and may the magic continue for young and old

When you are trimming down your beard and your wondering why the soap isn’t washing off your face, only to realize your beard is that white.

Trimmed it down like I used to keep it in my 20’s over Christmas break. Loved Black Adder II.

Sun low on the horizon, snow on the ground... looks like yer gonna need a good hat (you got one) as well as a good beard (got one of them too). And knowing winter's only started, already I'm looking forward to spring. Thanks for posting!

Some truly magnificent hats you've all posted this week. Sorry I can't comment on them separately. Just haven't got the time this week. Italian week however is still going strong despite the weather's best efforts to keep me completely in the dark. Some small spots of sun though I made use of.

Where does one begin to comment on such a spectacular parade of hats. Always love the jelly donut (Sfinge) hat. Hats all have very interesting tip logos.

Used to have a bunch of short brims, but after searching far and wide, I lost them along the way. View attachment 288883
Just on the border of stingy Randall, but a really cool old Marathon.

Again with the fantastic parade. My heart can't stand the stress! The ribbon on that Mirtillo is probably my favorite of all time!

No hat today. No plan to leave the house.
Throwback pic to 27 years ago today.. leaving my dormitory Heathman Hall to head to the Winter Ball.

Sadly, my pictures from this bygone era have no hats. I think there is a flat cap in there somewhere, back in the early days. You were a lady killer for sure!

Incredible hat as usual Alan. Thank god it survived the crash, some stock broker might have been wearing it when jumping out of the 15th story window!

Echter Mayser "Superbe" possibly early 1950s. The felt is a fantastic shade of brown and has a very soft. Also has a unique brim treatment and a great bow design.

Super Mayser Steve. The lines are just fantastic. I recognize that store name, I have a Huckel from there.

A short trip into the outside world this morning. Casual look with a Warren Baines jacket and a 1950s Lee's of London fedora. In stingy solidarity with Joe McCarthy this week. Today was also the debut of my new Florsheim navy blue oxfords. For some strange reason, I still was the only person in Safeway who dressed for the occasion.

Looking sharp Mike. The felt of the Lee’s is only rivaled by the liner inside... that and maybe your shoes!
