Yet another jaw dropper Alan with a great history.
Most of all, thank goodness I can see your photos again :)

Stetson 1X Nutria... the store in Walla Walla took was sold and took on the Gardiner's name in 1910 (store photo below is 1926). I would estimate this hat somewhere between 1910 and 1920. Vintage horsehair band is my addition.

Love the dimensions of the Dallas!

This morning a dog soirre in my Gannon Playboy inspired fedora. The blue mist beaver felted hat I steamed last night to give it a bit more "swoop." I got home from an essential grocery store run and have been continuing to wear it about. Totally comfy.

Cheers, Eric -
Thanks Eric. Your Gannon today looks great. And you've been giving me a serious case of Whippet envy lately.

The Italian hat producers, manufacturers and exporters of the greatest number of hats in the world trade of this product, found themselves in a decade to pay the economic and social change in the tastes of a generation and, almost all of their glory days ended in unison.
Barbisio Verde 6.jpg
I am one of that generation and perhaps that is why I now pay my atonement for that sin by collecting their magnificent hats
Barbisio Verde 1.jpg

Barbisio closed at the beginning of the Eighties and the Cervo hat factory, two hundreds metrs further, took it upon itself to carry on the name.
This is a machine-formed hat that was the child of that difficult time
Barbisio Verde 4.jpg
The felt is dark green, rigid due to too much shellac, excellent finishes outside, very hasty inside.
Barbisio size 59 without any other indications. After years of battles with Borsalino for the high quality they left over some unfinished beauty, like this
Barbisio Verde 5.jpg

Have anice day froma a sunny and cold Verona
Thanks for the likes :)

A great looking Heath Homurg, Mike. Nice job on the curves, too. I'm steaming some curves on a Moores Bowler at the mo. Always fun to bring the curves back to life.

Trip to Freddie's for some more Christmas lights, never can have enough... Needed an overcoat this morning, super crisp out. Black 1950s homburg by Robert Heath, made in England. Spent some time with the Jiffy Steamer on the brim, giving it more distinct curves.
