Your hat showcases of late are terrific. Congrats on the quality of your hat rack sir. I do like th Whippet dimensions on you.

Getes, Georg Teufel & Sohn, Tuttlingen, "Antilope" possibly late 1950s and a recent arrival.

Steve, today's and the recent "modern" hats you have showcased are really sharp. Thanks for sharing.

The special colors of autumn continue, even if by now many leaves have fallen.
Today, a sunny day with "special" temperatures for the period, I experience it wearing a Panizza.

Panizza Special size 59 cm. or 7 3/8 US arrived new from Merano, M. Hutter headwear.

The felt is named "Cognac" and is very malleable and of medium fine texture, with a ribbon of the same color with a slight tendency to shimmer.

We are always in the variety of colors of this special period.

This is one of my "special" hat I like more than others

Tomorrow is expected to drop the temperature sharply, but these days of sunshine and pleasant temperatures was an off-season treat.
Congratulations to all the loungers for their awesome hats showed in the last days :)

Daniele; Thanks for sharing you hats of late, It is sooooo enjoyable to see and read about your glorious hats. I am curious to see what hats you willl wear when the temperature drops sharply.

Marathon today.

Have a good day,

Glorious Marathon fedora Michael.

Dreary November days are great for photographing hats. Here, another Stetson Standard, a little older and heavier than the last...

Lovely hat choice for the dark and dreary month currently highlighted by increased Covid restrictions Alan. The hat is truly a "bright" spot on a dreary day. Thanks for sharing.

Cheers all contributors to this thread. I have viewed and read all the posts and appreciate your glorious contributions.

Be safe, be strong and see you on the streets soon, Eric -

A week ago Art Fawcett sent me a PM and asked if I was interested in a Fed IV at a truly great price. I said yes:

Wow, very nice and it looks sharp as with that contrasting ribbon. Makes me wish I grabbed a moonstone myself. My Wife got me a grey lid for Christmas, I have no idea what it is. I did try to peek about but it seems she's found somewhere to hide it that ins't in our house lol. I was hoping it was something in the moonstone, heck who am I kidding I don't even know if it's an Akubra. And today we're in lock-down state wide here in S.A. madness!

Thanks. I actually tired to get Art out of retirement and swap out the ribbon before he shipped it to me. Couldn’t hurt to ask, but I completely understand Art not wanting to. I’ve been approached and asked if I might be interested in working as a retired annuitant so my department doesn’t loose all the “institutional knowledge” they spent so much money and time providing me. My answer was a resounding “hell no!” The HR specialist smiled and said he had to ask. When I’m done I’m done and I applaud Art.

Eric, a woolen cap as it has always been since childhood, even if the winters have changed a lot in the last twenty years. Much more lovable, indeed, than autumns that last until spring. When the days are cold, very few in recent years, and I walk to the office early in the morning I have caps other than hats. The hats are for half the day when it warms up.
I will show the "mutation"

This morning there was a thick and leaden fog, around 11A.M. it thinned out and the sun came out.
Sebino Borsalino A.jpg

I took the opportunity to wear a Borsalino in the color of the sky and fog together
Sebino Borsalino 3.jpg
Borsalino Qualità Extra Superiore in soft felt, "Sebino" color with ribbon matching the felt color. Size is 59 cm. or 7 3/8 US
Sebino Borsalino 4.jpg
The type of hat is not indicated as it is a Borsalino of about forty years ago.
The sunset was spectacular here in the hills, less in painura where the sand began to settle before sunset

Thanks for your likes.
Congratulations on your aluni hats which I would like in my size.
Which? Assumptions are accepted :)
