Cool crisp morning for a drug run! Keeping with the homburg theme of this week (probably the last time out til Friday) I wore my Echter Borsalino Lobbia in Dattero. Kind of chocolate like tone in the sunshine.

The only thing that beats a Guinness is your wonderful collection of hats, Eric.
Some fantastic blues you've been wearing recently.

A Harris Tweed wool cap headed back to work on my head this afternoon and evening.

I am out with my dog this cold evening in a Stetson Playboy.

Truth in posting - I am watching the stars while sipping a Guinness.

It’s a great day to be alive in New England, MW!

You did a fantastic job on the bash, my friend. Looks perfect from here!!

Thank you! I appreciate it! I honestly fumbled the most with getting the pinch just right to my liking.

I’m already debating on getting a Fed IV in either Moonstone or Heritage Fawn. Also have a Dobbs Forty on the ebay watchlist.

Seeing everyones hats here has gotten me looking for more!

I've been playing with a Dark brown Fed IV this morning, first bashing it's had as it was new yesterday.

I appreciate it! How has the Fed been taking to the bashing so far? Ive read Akubra tends to be a bit “stiff” and takes a little work to get some shape.

The 2 FED's I got have both been really easy, light water spray/spritz and then a bit of steam and just shape them. Yeah, it's certainly normal for Akubra's to be stiff, most of them get a shellac bath twice as well as a water repellent.

I suspect half the reason may be my new steamer also though lol as I used a pot or kettle till now, but I did find the Fed's really easy indeed. They even felt lighter, I think I'll be wearing mine more than I had at first thought. I really like them and the dimensional brim is a winner IMO.

Personally I just would have liked the brim edge to have a trim finish but meh, I'm not too bothered and I can I could always just do it myself.

My wife and I enjoyed our 13th anniversary yesterday at our favorite local beach hotel and a room with quite a view. Soaked in some sunshine and some moon shine. The Lee Smartlee did end up taking a dunk in the Atlantic.. but I think it dried up mostly ok.

I am back from a morning meeting - small 3 person business group, social distance and of course masks. We had put this off for several months and now needed to proceed. Very strange as we maintained >6ft. around a conference table. This meeting was a negotiation of some business and property. It needed to be done in person. It will not be done again as it was too strange. I will wait to see if and when we all survive the pandemic and then continue meetings of this type.

To point I wore a vintage bespoke 50's shark skin suit, 30's Robert, Johnson and Rand spectators and 40's tie and paired the outfit with a Marathon Air Commander, J.C.Penny's Supreme Quality. Truly a Supreme fedora, IMO.

Home and fixing some lunch on the grill. A Vintage Stetson Premiere Stratoliner in Cadet Blue is my fedora for the task.
