What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

That's a very fine hat to wear to send your vote in Bob. Sensible too to use your democratic right to vote via mail-in.

I hope in 4 years time, you're able to stand in line to vote the first Tuesday in November so other voters can see whatever wonderful hat you choose to wear :)

You know, it’s actually “...the Tuesday next after the first Monday in the month of November” so it’s not always the first Tuesday. It seems we go out of our way to make things complicated.

Another great looking hat, Bill. Spot on.

J. Hückel ´s Söhne "Flexible" "Seal Velour", probably later 1930s. The color is a Dark Chocolate Brown that absorbs all light so very difficult to photograph. This hat had a Crease Clip because there is a deep crease is still present in the Crown.

Well, if it's time for the heather felts, it's time for the velours as well. A prime example, Steve.

Niiiice!

Morning chores have been completed wearing a Knox Westlite.

Fresh from a naptha bath, leather conditioning and some steam this hat's good to go for adventures.

Thin ribbon Thursday for me.

I like the Knox button detail on the windcord.

Super NOS Tonak, Steve.
Beautiful bow. I can almost feel that felt.
I second what Steve said!

This is my go to, at home headwear. A Stefan @steur Fez creation, made from the remnants of a Wegener.
It keeps my bald head warm and my heating bills down :)

It may need a bit more time than the bowlers, but we should be able to get more members to wear them, Steve. How cool is that!?

Yet another of my hats that my wife doesn’t care for (too big), but she knows I like them so she likes them...everyday I’m reminded of how lucky I am.
So you are, Brent. When it comes to hats (or anything else for that matter) forgiving wives are to be cherished.

Very fine Resistol, Bob. I really like the ribbon.

Looks cool, Dave

Not a brand we see around here very often. Lovely hat, Reggie.

Thanks for the constitutional clear up, Brent. I don't think the constitutional legalise is different anywhere in the world. The general order seems to be - In order to make things crystal clear, we'll muddy things up.

You know, it’s actually “...the Tuesday next after the first Monday in the month of November” so it’s not always the first Tuesday. It seems we go out of our way to make things complicated.

Let's start a Fez Nation, Stefan :)

It may need a bit more time than the bowlers, but we should be able to get more members to wear them, Steve. How cool is that!?

Cooling down more every day here in West Virginia. Only wish this vintage Champ would fit down on my gord. Even though no way ever gonna fit, still couldn't pass it up found in a antique store for $5. Probably about a 6-3/8?

At that price it wold have been a crime not to save it. Pity about the size though.

1950s Dobbs Homburg Black 7 1/4

5 inch crown (4 1/4 to center dent)

2 inch black grosgrain ribbon

2 inch brim to curl with 5/8 matching grosgrain binding

1 3/4 brown sweatband

A real nice 1950s Dobbs Homburg in black. At 7 1/4 This one is a bit too big for me so it will probably be moving along to a new home.

Does look like a nice one, Joe. But black homburgs aren't rare; you'll find another (dozen or so).

A vintage Stetson Vogue was my fedora choice for afternoon and evening shenanigans.

Now there's one we haven't seen that often. Looks like a substantial crown on that one, Eric.

Very nice, Jim. Great colour.

I haven’t been able to find an opportunity to wear my wool Hornskov yet, so today I’m wearing it at home. It may be wool, but it’s beautiful to the touch - soft and malleable...is that what you call “hand”?
Considering Hornskov beaver hats for Christmas for me and my wife.

Nice one, Gary. Good to a black hat in action. And that's indeed what we call "hand" (or at least I do).

Dog soirée this morning while wearing a vintage Stetson Playboy.

Very nice unlined one, Eric.

Coat, scarf, bag and hat: perfection, Steve!

Super hat, Perry.

Stingy brim today

Embrace the stingy! You'd need some long arms to embrace this one though.

Good to see you exercise your democratic rights, Bob! Not something to be taken for granted. Good hat for the occasion.

Love that wide ribbon. It really makes that Bogart pop!

Autumn comes to California with frigid 80 degree days (not to worry, the forecast puts us back into the 90s in a few days :( )

Pretty cool, Brent. I like the color and texture. It looks like Moleskine.

American week continues.

Portis in blue took the rain in its stride. I have @Garrett to thank for this one.

Mallory XV homburg for today. Kindly provided by Brent @deadlyhandsome in his early enabling days.

Portis in the rain. Too much! Stefan, your American vintage hat catalog, checks all the boxes. I love it.
