I'm sure you'll make that look great, but maybe you should wait. Park the hat and wait a while. It's such a great hat with such a nice brim trim as is, as you've said yourself. Perhaps it would be better to put it away for a bit and wait for inspiration further down the line. Just my penny's worth of advice, but probably not worth that at all [emoji4].

I haven't trimmed it yet and no decision I make is ever final. Something else might come to mind to where I keep the brim intact. I'm in no hurry.

You might get another 1/4" of crown back with a lot of hand working the felt on the block. And that much skin off your fingers doing it...

Man, another 1/4" even would be great. I think that it's future includes some more work.

Received some new berets from Daan at South Pacific Berets. This is the Auloronesa French beret - the nicest I have handled. I wear quite a range of hats around town and when I travel... for some reason, a beret gets the most comments of appreciation.
