As long as I've been into them (I have six now), I still have to stop and admire a CD every time I see one: It's not a fancy style, yet you can wear it with a suit, and there's something rugged, sort of park-rangery about it. Love this style.

Without a doubt, my favorite ribbon of the year: the green and white combo really reminds me of the late '40's, early '50's.

Resistol Beaver Forty. No tags under the sweat. Was this forty dollars, or does Beaver Forty mean that it has 40 percent beaver?
And what year is it from, about? If it says "A Byer-Rolnick product", does it mean it's before a certain year?
The felt is thick, obedient, and nice, but the hand isn't as smooth as my Knox and Dobbs Forties.

Great hat, Max. I really like Resistol’s fedoras. I find lots of stingy brims, but it’s hard to find the wider brimmed hats. I’m not sure what the Forty represents since it’s used in conjunction with “beaver” in this case.

My understanding is that hats marked Byer-Rolnick came from 1967-1968 and earlier.

I've been looking and looking at that hat for awhile. It pretty sharp and looks great on you. Your pics give me a better perspective of the hat's features than those on the VS website. I hope you don't mind. I'm going to have to grab one.

They’re great hats, Reggie. I like Milans batter than Panama hats, and this is my favorite Milan.
