really happy w/ this stetson ... shame about stain though. it's weird, stain came from <outside>, there's absolutely no evidence of it on straw behind sweatband. i'm wondering how risky it'd be to try some soapy water and a toothbrush on it?

If it were mine, I’d try cleaning it. Diluted vinegar maybe? Mild soap too. I also would wear the heck out of it even if I couldn’t lift the stain. I really like that hat!

Rehfus & Cie. "Olympia Extra Qualität", Point 5 1/2, Crown 5 1/2 inches, Brim 2 1/2 inches, probably mid 1950s. The felt is of a heavier weight but pliable. Also a great shade of blue with a very nice finish. High quality components and construction. Rehfus & Cie. were located in Kehl am Rhein so not far from Strasbourg / Strasburg. Rehfus & Cie. are a more difficult find.

The "Incroyable" is a stiff felt hat at 60 or 70 grams (just the hat body) which was super light weight. Manfred has a latter model 70 gram Rehfus & Cie "Zephyr".

A great hat, to be sure, but not the highly sought after monkey hair fur felt.... wow, what a revelation!

Just channeling my inner Eric there. LOL. Though the condition this one showed up in.. I don’t have too many worries on it.

I have a shirt in that style I picked up at a thrift... whenever I wear it I can’t help but hear in my head.... Men men men... men....men.men.men
You did a good job of bringing it back, Joe. And yes, a definite 2.5 men vibe. Need to find my baggy shorts.

Great looking Panama Michael. I don't care what that fly thinks...
Thanks Bob. I was worried when I saw that spot on the brim in the photo. Dang flies.

Thanks,
Michael
