Beautiful PBs Eric.Bon Vivant theme at my house.
Yesterday afternoon I completed some chores in a Playboy.
Yesterday evening walk in a Stetson Playboy. This unlined blue ribboned Playboy has the unique old style imprint on the leather sweat.
This morning's walkabout I wore an unlined Stetson Playboy.
Errands (butcher and local brewer) and brunch in a lined Playboy.

There's a huge beer shortage in Mexico right now. I don't really like beer, but many friends of mine are hurting.

Thanks, Michael. Thanks Stefan. There is a lot of peachy undertone on this one in the right lights. Someone else posted one that must have been from the same batch of felt.
I really like the low roll on the brim this Huckel has. Made a very good look, to my eye.
Thanks,
Michael
Fantastic hat, Bill. Very nice colours and I like that bow design.Vintage Stetson today for an eye doctor appointment and errands.

I can attest to the superb quality of the Wilke velours. They knew their trade alright. Wonderful example, Steve. This week I will feature the C. G. Wilke Guben, Germany Hat Factory. Founded by Carl Gottlob Wilke in 1822 Guben, Germany. He invented the weather-proof wool hat and was a major contributor in the mechanization of hat making. C. G. Wilke manufactured both Wool and Fur (including Velour) Soft and Stiff Felt Hats. C. G. Wilke Factory was severely damaged during WWII. Guben was the largest hat making center in Germany up to WWII but was heavily damaged during the war. What remained of the Guben Hat Industry infrastructure after WWII was nationalized as VEB United Hutwerke Guben (Guben was located in the GDR).
C.G. Wilke "Bürstel Electra", Open Crown 6 inches, Brim 2 1/4 inches probably mid to later 1930s. The gray Velour finish is really nice and it still has the original paper size label. It originally had a Crease Clip/Holder. I could tell by the wear on the liner label and the remnants of a very sharp center crease.

That is spectacular, Michael. Aboslutely love it. We see far too few of these staples of the past for gentlemen.Ready to settle in to a bit of teevee coma. Under a smoking cap

Being a Mallory it seems to sit just a notch above other TAR hats, but that could just be my imagination.Made a foray onto Base today and got to sit in my chair for a couple of hours. The occasion was some laptop repair. Teleworking is very nice, but I still like "going to work."
Took the opportunity to wear my Mallory Dallas on TAR Tuesday.

Fabulous, Perry. Seems quite soft for a Stetson. I like it.
Good thing you have a spare hat, Max.The Montecristi I bought from Brent last night made me feel like wearing this one to tide me over until I c View attachment 233269 View attachment 233270 View attachment 233271 View attachment 233272 View attachment 233273 View attachment 233274 an pick up the new one from my brother-in-law's in Texas. It might take a while until I do.

German week. Week two day three.
Tell or Marke Tell. This hat was a "John Doe hat" until Steve @mayserwegener discovered the logo was for a brand called Marke Tell. Woolfelt survivor hat and with a clip to boot.
