This years work hat.
Day 2 of the 31 day hat parade: The fedora that started my addiction. The "1942 Rose Bowl" Hat. My first bespoke hat by Mike Miller of Northwest Hats in 2016. Made as a tribute to the 1942 Oregon State College Rose Bowl appearance, which was actually played in NC due to Pearl Harbor. We took a page from the 1942 OSC Yearbook and made this hat as an homage to the year. Beaver Felt in pecan.

Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it...beetroot in your burger, that is - no one in their right mind would put mayonnaise on fries!Beet on a burger...at least you’re not putting mayonnaise of your fries.

Gday Shoe, is that tinned beetroot or fancy fresh beetroot? Our north American cousins struggle to fathom that custom, two great nations divided by one vegetableView attachment 232160 Second hat for the day and you know the ’roo leather means barbecue! I screwed up the homemade buns today so it was pretty messy, but damn good. Beetroot is an essential burger ingredient in New Zealand, but hard to find in Japan, so I’m a particularly happy chappy right now! View attachment 232159 View attachment 232161

I only said fries because I wasn’t sure you’d understand if I called them by their proper name!Hey, some people even call fires “chips” if you can believe it! Heathens!
I’m going to pass on trying beats on a burger.
Out of a tin. I don’t think I’ve ever seen it fresh over here...what I’d give for a batch mum’s vinegary beetroot!Gday Shoe, is that tinned beetroot or fancy fresh beetroot? Our north American cousins struggle to fathom that custom, two great nations divided by one vegetable
Pandanus Pacific Brim by Rosie Boylan on the Masked Corona Crawl today. The rainy season is over, it is straw season. Swam out way past the breakers and floated on my back until I looked up and realized that I was in the middle of the pack of surfers, so I swam back in. Da bruddahs are getting used to me slowly but surely.

Every once in a while you see an old uncle out there, but they are mostly young hot shots. So, when do you get a surfboard and join them?
Thanks Stefan. I actually had that welt under the lighted magnifying glass to check if that was a welt or felted edge. I could barely, barely make out a stitch or two on the underside. Thanks, Michael.
Classic looking hat, Michael. Overwelt brims are not my preferred style, but when done this good, what's not to like?
A beautiful hat. The colours work very well together.
What a great color that heather has. Beautiful hat.German week, day six.
Rein Haar heather.
