Happy AnniversaryWearing my Panizza to celebrate 23 years of marriage. The shirt's Italian, too. It took a bit of courage to even try it on in the shop - glad I did. It's one of my favorites. No hat for my wife today thanks to the poor weather. View attachment 227184 View attachment 227185
I love the fact that our anniversary is in strawberry season!

Thanks Blare.Happy Anniversary
I had a Canon EOS film camera and when I went digital, Canon were probably considered the best, but it was also a no-brainer because I was on a budget and could use my old lenses with the new body. But my Olympus is a semi-pro model and far better than the entry level Canons I’d been using. I’d love to get a couple more lenses for it, but my money seems to be disappearing on headwear! That’s a shame people aren’t getting yo enjoy them this year. They’re only around for a short while. Just like my Azaleas, they don’t last long enough.
That Olympus Mirrorless should be a good one. I was a huge Olympus guy back in the film days. Had an OM-3 and tons of Zuiko lenses for freelance work. They were a little slow at adapting to digital, so I switched to Canon for the DSLR’s. Love the L series lenses. Olympus does seem to be coming on strong with the Mirrorless now. Enjoy.
Great outfit Michael, and the bacon looks good too. What tartan is the tie?Dobbs Lords Hat on a very nippy and windy morning

I think a good day to stay indoors. And take a first taste of the cold smoked bacon I finished last week.

Thanks Perry. The clothes are suffering from the 15 lbs I put on over the winter, but on the other hand, the bacon was extremely tasty. Ha ha. Your Royal Stetson today was a real winner. The label on the Botany Woolen Mills tie says Wallace. I'll have to take their word for it.Great outfit Michael, and the bacon looks good too. What tartan is the tie?

View attachment 227135 Here’s my #13 a day early. Hope it’s okay to cheat a day. A 40s RSDL that I’ve owned for eleven years.
I sewed the binding on last night.
My fifth try at a wide bound edge.
One of two with a cupped brim. I’ve found that I can do a decent up brim using steam and a round sided 12 inch nonstick fry pan.
This hat has a question that I’m sure someone here can easily answer, especially since it’s a Stetson.
When did Stetson stop calling their hats Royal Stetson De Luxe and start calling them Royal De Luxe Stetson? View attachment 227132 View attachment 227134

Silver belly with matching duo cord thin ribbon
5 1/2 inch crown in a cattleman’s crease
4 inch brim
1 5/8 Brown sweatband
One third of the way in on 30 Days to 30 Hats. With yesterday’s presentation of my shortest brim hat... today I figured it would move on to the largest brim hat in my collection. At 4 inches this is some brim and it goes well with its 5 1/2 crown.... though I still think a bit much on my size 7 head. I found this one in a thrift store for $4... so it had to come along.

Nice day so far. I hear wind and rain are on the way, with a little snow tomorrow.

Have a great Saturday,

Silverbelly Akubra Campfraft outdoors getting very sweaty, very dirty. One of the jobs I bought it for. Got the whole garden raked out and turned over. Planted potatoes, pumpkins, aji dulce peppers, purple tiger peppers and a row of basil. It’s a good start. It felt good to do something normal.
