The FL site is far too cumbersome on my phone and computer to be easily able to reply and upload photos.

Steve -- not sure what phone you're using, but you may need to get a photo resizing app. I don't have any issue using the file upload function on the FL, but just tried a copy and paste (of an already resized photo) from my iPhone directly into the "box" and it worked just fine.

We need you to stick around! Your daughters (or anyone's daughter) can help you with this.

I don't. I think I've only done selfies twice. I get my wife or daughter to snap the pictures.

I’ve enjoyed all your photos. Women look great in hats, but we don’t seem to get too many of them here on the hat forum.

I know it can be confusing to keep people straight, but please feel free to call me Brent. I used Deadlyhandsome because that was my eBay name (after the song). The name was alright on eBay when selling or buying, but it’s something I’ve constantly regretted here. I wish I could change it.

What would you change it to?

I don’t know, B. I didn’t ever mean for it to be me, it was the name of the online (ebay) store. An alright name for a store, but pretentious and weird for a person to call themselves. I’ve never joined any type of social media other than The Lounge so I didn’t think about it being my “name.”

Has it really come to this? Maybe I should say my Jeep has an anti-theft device on it. After all it's a manual transmission. We have opposable thumbs, we can adapt!

I feel I'm so out of the loop. I cannot easily follow what's going on on the Lounge as Tapatalk has been de-cobbled. The FL site is far too cumbersome on my phone and computer to be easily able to reply and upload photos. I see others are able to, though. Am I missing something?

Just tried to upload a photo but, as always, when I do it via computer, it gets denied as too large.

Any help will be appreciated, otherwise if Tapatalk doesn't come back, it's goodbye to you all and thanks for the good times.

P.S. That photo was the only one to get through out of many.

They really threw the baby out with the bath water, didn’t they? Tapatalk is causing problems, so fix the problem. There must be a way. I’m always on my phone and never on my computer...this is a big trend that is only going to increase. Tapatalk made navigation and posting photos a breeze. I really hope it comes back soon.

I have been able to post photos by cropping them and choosing the “large” format rather than the “actual” size, but it’s tedious. More than the photo issues, I hate how hard it is to navigate the forum without Tapatalk. Maybe I was spoiled, but it’s like going back to dial-up after you had high speed broadband.

Rant away, my so called smart phone is six years old and I still haven't worked out how it connects to the internet, but it doesn't bother me, anymore than the fact that three times I have tried to set up an e-mail address on my laptop and each time there was no icon or menu or anyway of locating it, so I gave up and continue to write letters.

When Esther made a hat for me she phoned and asked how I wanted to pay. She accepted Pay-pal, this, that & the other. I asked her how much did I owe her. To her surprise a letter arrived a day or two later with the cash, real cash, filthy folding stuff, inside a greeting card.

I'm impressed that your Jeep has a manual gear shift. To start my car you need to unlock the door, with a key. Once inside you will need to find the ignition keyhole, then when you turn the key nothing will happen because you need to find the starter button. And if anyone should try and steal the car, they won't get far, I always remove the rotary arm whenever it's parked.

I must say, Brent's homburg is a beauty. It almost seems like one of those that are too nice to wear. God forbid you meet a pigeon with diarrhea like I did many years ago with a brand new, Stetson bowler.
Plop! Oh, no...

For photo editing, I use Irfan which is a free program and is really simple which is a good thing. Take the pic, open with Irfan, crop it, resize to 700 x whatever is smaller for the other number and save it.

Steve reading these lines made me sad. I too used to surf here with an Android based mobile and Tapatalk. Web interface it's quite more complicated and make me want to upload less. To continue on your mobile you need a built in internet browser and a way to size down pictures. As others said you can send them to yourself or use an image sizing app. What works faster for me is to send them to my girlfriend via Viber and she sends them back to me. Most of these messaging apps compress the pics automatically upon sending and that does the trick.
