Just got home from seeing Star Wars at our local hometown theater, the Pix. It is good to know that the cash cow was not totally slaughtered. Enjoyed it very much, left a number of questions (which Patty is searching at this moment), and felt that it met all my Star Wars geek needs. Wore my Black Sheep Hat Works bespoke fedora and a double breasted trench coat. My wonderful in-laws gifted me the new gloves for Christmas. Patty said they didn't go too well with the outfit, thoughts?

Great looking hat, Mike. Even if there's an ocean between us, I know better than to contradict a wife;) The remedy is of course to order another pair of gloves.

I had heard Art was retiring, so I got my order in by his deadline back in October, I think, in order for him to try and finish all orders by 12/31/2019. I have 2 other hats from Art, a Silverbelly beaver felt fedora (the first custom I received about 3 years ago) and a 400 wspi Cuenca hat body I brought back from Ecuador that I had Art make into a hat for me.

I have customs from other hatters like Black Sheep Hat Works, NW Hat Company, and Gannon Hat Company and can recommend them all highly. I have 2 or 3 customs in mind for either Michael Gannon or Mike Miller this coming year, if all goes well. BSHW makes a wonderful hat, but the 21-23 month wait both my wife's hat, and my hat, took is a bit more than I care to wait for again.

Ahh, that explains it. Thanks for the info.

Seems I just keep coming back to vintage hats instead of looking at new ones, but I would like a custom some day. I guess vintage is more up my ally since I enjoy the history as much as the hat.....

Looking good, Daniele. Hard to find real Cervo hats for some reason, so a good find on your part.

My gosh, Daniele! What a fine finish, and I absolutely adore the band on that one.
Thanks Sirs. I missed your compliments. I'm sorry
Cervo is rare to find also in Italy and of this quality more rare. I bought a bunch some years ago and after that purchse no more. They have a "special" felt quality.
The finish is unique and the ribbon is a fantastic piece of velour
