Sorry, thought I had done that but I must have missed the "insert quote" step. Sorry.

I want to say he initially quoted 5 weeks. That extended a bit because he had to order the felt, and the supplier was out of stock. Even with that, I received the hat 7 weeks after I said "let's do this," and he stayed in communication through every step of the process.

To whom are you addressing this question? If you use the quote function the right person can give you an answer.

Bray? Grown? I have a Gannon (you should really get one) in Winchester's Granite that is gray with brown undertones.

Sent directly from my mind to yours.
I prefer "bray." After all that's what jackasses do. And for some reason, I feel a certain kinship with jackasses.

But seriously... I don't know... there's almost an "eggplant" feel to the color. I just need to stop trying to define it and dig it. My hat's off to whoever came up with the idea for that particular dye shade.

And... I GonnaGettaGannon all in good time.

I dig blue hats. The color looks to be a shade or two lighter than Navy in that liner shot. Nice.
A pic in day light. In direct sunlight it looks a lot brighter.

This is the Lobbia Borsalino Qualità Suprema that Daniele posted a couple of weeks ago. It arrived Monday and after 24 hours on the stretcher, it was ready to wear today. Brim 7cm (2.75 inches), Crown 11cm (4.3 inches), ribbon 4cm (1.5) I have 3 other Homburgs with an equally wide brim and around the same crown size. I beleive this one seems "larger" due to it's colour in light perspective, but also due to the way the brim seems elongated along the sides.
A big thank you to Daniele for knowing my tastes and giving me the opportunity to bring this Borsalino into my possession and onto my head.

I thought as much, but I was hoping you didn’t regret your Optimo purchases. I do love the color of this hat.
Hmmm... I don't exactly regret them... It is just that I have about nine felt Optimos, and two straws. I could have bought just two felts, and two straws, and spent the rest of the money on vintage.
They are beautiful hats, for sure, every one of them.

I received my (very early) birthday and Christmas present yesterday: this whiskey-colored beauty from Gannon. I couldn't be happier with the hat or with the process leading up to it. I doubt this will surprise anyone, but Michael was wonderful to work with.

Very nice, congratulations! I need a new Gannon...

Royal DeLuxe Stetson today.

The color of this thing is just so peculiar. It's like somewhere between gray and brown. I have no idea what to call it, but I like it.

Enjoy, all.

I like how you have this one set up. Simple elegance Matt. Interesting blend of color.

The Granite I have from Mike Miller is almost green in some light. It is one chameleon color.

Grand Borsalino Steve. That brim is certainly showy in this form. I like the color, Bismuto?

Not shaving is probably one of the best perks of retirement. Nice green tone on that Bailey.

Yes, even though I took that picture at work. I am usually the best dressed there as the dress code is mainly no holes. Thanks, I like the different colors Bailey has.

I love a vintage pork pie and a lid with a back bow. The two in combination have me drooling. Nice hat Michael.
After a nice extended ride under the fur cap I decided to go with a Marathon porkpie.

And I found this late season 1.85 kg maitake while I was out.

SWEET! What are your first impressions?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Sweet is just the word I would use. When I first took it out of the box I immediately noticed how soft and flexible the felt is. Much thinner and finer than my Stratoliner Premier, similar to my Gannon beaver. The underwelt brim is neat and clean, and seems to have just the right amount of snap. I think that the Tobacco color is beautiful as well and will compliment my leather jackets nicely. It took a sloppy diamond crease dry although the dents popped out. Have a steamer coming tomorrow.
Thanks for the recommendation!
