How would you compare it to the various Stetson Open Roads ?

Thank you. This is a 60's hat that is difficult to compare to OR's unless they are at least 7X CB or 100 quality and as far as I know there is no 100 OR but there are 100's that are essentially OR clones. I have one and maybe this hat was built to compete with those though it has a raw edge and the bow is different than than that on an OR. The felt on this one is soft and malleable from the tip of the crown to the edge of the brim. The felt is as dense as any I've handled and owned including 3 7X CB's and a Stetson 100. The crowns on the 7X hats will accept almost any crease w/o steam but only the Canadian model has a pliable brim. This hat feels thinner than any of the others I've mentioned but it's difficult to compare them as the other hats have bound brims or a mode edge. In the side by side hat comparisons you can find the comparison I did between my Cav and Stetson.
