Wearin’ my new Dobbs Fifteen Guild Edge today. Got it from eBay. Unbelievable that no one bid on it, and I’m not complaining.
A 55 model so says the tag, If I’m reading it right. The hat body is so soft, yet sturdy. Best body I’ve ever held (and have several older Dobbs) other than a certain hot brunette I once knew. Unfortunately, I let her slide through my fingers...wont happen with this beauty.

Super hat! I ended up with a Dobbs Twenty for $20 out of the "bay" a couple of years ago. It does happen, just not often enough!

Thanks Chris. One of my favorite hats and favorite suits. I see I need to reinstitute my diet plan though, or the suit will not fit any more. Ha ha.

My all time favorite hat of your stable Michael. Great pairing with that suit, vintage(ish)?
Thanks Red. By the union label the suit would be from between 1976 and 1995. My memory for style cues is very bad, so I don't know where in there it would fit. Definitely one of my favorites.

Thanks,
Michael

One of the rare hats from Central Europe I have in my size 59 cm.
habig 4 bis.jpg

P. & C. H. Spezial Qualitat in very deep blue felt. excellent finish, no lining only a tip in the crown
Habig 6.jpg

The felt is fantastic and sweatband too, I suspect it was made before the WWII but, I'm sure, Steve will be more precise

It is one of my favourite among the blue hats

Thanks for the likes on the Barbisio "Carnagione" and compliments for all the hats displayed

Felt like spiffing up for the annual meeting of our local Monteith Historical Society last night. Unknown German maker (PC Habig??) for a famous department store chain, Peek & Cloppenburg. This opera hat is probably from the 1960s as the store logo in the liner is the older style. Just a lot of fun to wear and it really was a show stopper at the meeting! That's a true beauty. Too bad the camera can't really grab the blue you describe.

Beautiful blue, Daniele. Wonderful overall shape and proportions, too. I can understand why you're smiling so happily.

Thanks Stefan. This one does seem to be a somewhat uncommon color for an OR. I don't much wear them with a cattleman.

Pretty fine looking wool hats. I think I've only found one wool felt that I thought looked comparable to a fur felt.

Thanks Dale. I've been enjoying your hat show the last few days. And the family pics.

Thanks all,
Michael
Two beauties Sir! They look great on you.
