Here are a couple of pictures of the buckskin you are referring too. Maybe a very light tan felt with very dark brown or black ribbon work. In some lighting she looks like a silver belly. I've been thinking about it since you mentioned the idea.

Tonak "Brillant" probably mid 1950s. The liner has a blue tint which makes me think the felt color could be more of a very dark blue. This hat was made for the Czechoslovakian market.

The felt sure looks a dark blue in that light to me, Steve. Super looking Tonak. They can be hit or miss, but that one definitely looks like a very desirable hit.

There is little light for decent photography

Barbisio without any paper label to define the color of the felt and other indications usefull to know more on this hat

It is certainly a product of the Cappellificio Cervo, very beautiful outside, essentially spartan inside

Today the green color of the felt stands out very well in the gray light

Interesting the appeal of the ribbon on the brim in complete contrast with the felt and the bow. Everything fits well with my jacket

I thank you for your likes for the historical Barbisio that I wore yesterday for all the undecided. Repeat is still for sale
