Today is the USMC birthday. So my "USMC Dress Blues" custom by Esther Weis was pulled into service for services.

Great combination ! Love the bolo and the horses.

Which Will Rogers are you referring too ?

Thank you, Hagwood. Will Rogers State Historic Park, in Pacific Palisades SoCal. Mostly polo fields and hiking/riding trails but it’s only about 15 min from my place so I frequent it quite a bit.

This morning a walk in the hills to see one of the best olive groves in the area, led by a large family of farmers

It is one of the last in Northern Italy, then the olive tree ceases to grow, the hill becomes wood

Here, on the sides of the ancient road that leads to the Alps, you can see the splendid olive trees that this year have remained completely unsuccessful, so much so that the mills have remained closed.
Thanks for the likes and congratulations to all of you for your hats
Buon Sabato a tutti!

Beautiful hat and Beautiful Countryside. Too bad about the Olive Trees.

Wonderful hat and great outfit, Steve. The hat goes well with that cool tie too. Knox made quite towering homburgs; fantastic hats.
Thank you, Stefan. The Knox was enabled by our good friend Brent. I see he's enabled you recently, too [emoji4]
The tie is also something quite special. Only 8 were made by Japanese designer Seigo Katsuragawa. Made in Tokyo out of silk usually created for kimonos, and sold in his Madison Avenue outlet in New York, it somehow ends up in a charity shop in Elsinore. Sometimes, one just gets lucky. As usual, Stefan, you have a good eye for detail.

Brent may have found a Superfine mine! You have a good eye to spot that tie amongst the usual pile of ho-hum ties in charity shops, Steve. The coolness factor has just gone up!
