Thanks Doug

That's a great looking Royal Stetson. Nice vintage piece.

Thanks Steve. It's a nice suit with a couple of issues I need to work on. I think it's been mushroom hunting with me before, but I lazed out on the hunt today and went shopping instead.
Came home with this ratty shearling jacket, which required a hat change.

So this Stagecoach gets a little time on the head.

And the third pair of khaki pants, this time paired with a wool officers regulation shirt.

Have a good evening,

Ratty shearling.
There you go again.
Are you, by any chance, of English heritage, Micheal?
The droll undersatement leads me to suspect that you're a closet Tory.

I was reading about Vicuñas last night, and remembered to wear my Churchill 100.
It says 'BEAVER "100" MADE WITH VICUÑA'.
I wonder what percentage is vicuña. Vicuñas are supposed to have hollow hair, so I guess it would be possible to make a count.
What I do know is that the felt is outstanding.

You should do more of those side profile shots, Doc. They highlight the hats and how well you wear them.
Kudos.

I studied it for some time, looking for meaning, all the discernible tiny details in the frame, clues, a connection, but came up empty. I Felt inadequate.

Thank you for the clarification.
I love the introspective mind.
I just don't possess it.

Either way Alan, that is one beautiful hat wonderfully worn.
A good reason why European hats are hard to pin down is that a lot of pre-war materials were left on the shelf during WWII, then used again post war.
Btw, isn't that too big a size for you?

Thanks Steve. The hat measures out to a U.S. size 7 1/8. It would fit a little too loose if I wore it with the brim up, but with the brim snapped down and with a bit of a tip backward it fits pretty well - comfortably loose for a lightweight hat on a warm day.
Making me smile!
If there's a will, there's a way.

Is it remotely possible to slay by envy?
I'm frightened by the emotions I feel when I admire your lids, Jonesy.
