Very nice. Is that a self felt belt band?

It is and to be honest, not something I'm a fan of but Dorer does this with every hat they offer, all the way up to the $10K model where the band is studded with platinum or 24 K gold at the buyers discretion. I'm trying to keep it original plus, I'd be scrapping at least $1.37 worth of Sterling silver if I got rid of it.

Culture Night in Elsinore tonight, so change of hat to go with the overcoat. It's the long haired Patterson & Co. via Stefan that I showed a few days ago.
My daughter took this with her new iPhone.
Look folks, I've got legs [emoji4]

Everytime i see you post this hat Greg i recall reading up on the Dorer Bar hats. Quite a great read! They make a great hat and this is certainly one of them.
I would think it is one of your treasure hats.
B

Thanks, B It is certainly a unique hat to me and I'm happy to have it though I would certainly bash some things about it if I paid the list of $500 as opposed to what Goodwill got out of me. Not sure where they source their felts but this one is unlike any I've seen from Winchester. The hat shapes and holds it well but it is coarse and if I took closeups, nearly everywhere there is a tight crease or turn, there is spider webbing in the felt. Nothing terrible, just not good.

That looks like one great extra wide brim, BB. Super colour. The felt looks quite heavy. Is that so?

Sent from my HUAWEI VNS-L31 using Tapatalk

Thank you, Steve. The brim is 3 1/2" and wide by fedora standards, but pretty common for westerns. It is a substantial hat at 191 grams but relative to two others of similar 3 1/2 x 6 dimensions I weighed at the same time, it is the lightest of the three by several grams.

Don't touch it then on that $6K slumming version.
I'm not a fan of felt self bands, but making it a belt has a bit of redemption value.
The hat itself looks supurb.

That's a wowzer, Eric.

Thanks Perry.

And a fun ride it is Eric. What a crown. :)
Thanks sir. The 30-40's styled crowns are fun to wear.

Zipadeedoohda, Eric. That is just a wonderful, jaw dropping Disney.
Thanks Steve.

Bowen this Black cherry VS was made for you, The jacket helps, but it suited you very well

Eric, a new to me, Disney of your collection. Very nice and particular. Bello!

Thanks Daniele. I picked the hat up last felt season and it saw very little action.

Eric i don’t recall you in this Disney before.
A new acquisition or more likely my memory fail??
Lovely and gills with presence.
Disney makes a glorious hat!!
B

Disney made some glorious hats. This is my only Disney. To date. So far.

Wonderful indeed, Eric. Nice and fluffy and gorgeous colour.

Thanks sir. A color that is bold indeed.

In Technicolor!

Thanks sir. The hat takes some gumption for me to sport.

Thanks all for the likes and internet thumbs ups. The Disney worn this morning is a bold hat for me. Bold in both long haired felt and in the hue of the felt. I will endevour to make occasions to wear it more often.

Best this evening, Eric -

Thanks Steve. I loved that monster homburg you had on recently. Monster.

Thanks Stefan. I finally have this one sort of combed into submission. Well, at least I did yesterday. Looking at it now under the increasing humidity I see it's gotten a little wild again. Ha ha. Great Peschel that you had out. That is such nice felt.

Champ Genuine Suede Finish is not very successfully dodging raindrops here this morning

Have a great Friday,

That's a great hat! As I've learned about hats I see a tendency to downgrade Champ as second string, mainly because they came in at a lower price point. If that's how they broke into the market, Sobiet.

Last weekend of the year at the cabin. The foliage is brightening, BIG time. I have taken way more photos than posted this season. I’ll do a compilation post in a bit.

Today, in honor of @Wyldkarma Peters Bros. find of yesterday, and @hat and Rehat’s moth fixing efforts, a Peters Brothers! Moth-tested and tough, this great stingy has a Cavanagh brim edge, a new non-allergenic sweatband, and has been skillfully moth-repaired by Bob Jessee.

What a beauty, Charlie!! That is such a fantastic color. Sorry to hear about the end of the lake weekends. I can see by your fine Pendleton that it's cooling down I'm a little envious.

Thank you, Dale! If the trees and mountainsides didn’t get so mindblowingly beautiful, it would be a much tougher-to-take time of year. It’s an amazing plan; happens every year!

How’s your brood?!
