What Hat Are You Wearing Today ?

The second of the trio of hats from Holland and another English product. A Joshua Turner Fedora. Super mat-black colour along with a light weight felt.
Stefan dates it to the late 40s, but with signs of an earlier construction. Who am I to disagree?

Note too, another outside selfie and I've finally worked out how to get the photo image not to be a mirrored one. So now, I'm all on the correct side [emoji4]

Sunshine is always a good thing to see, Steve. As is that Joshua Turner by the way; superb hat. One of the hats most difficult to let go of actually (along with that Lembert homburg).

I think your description is selling it short, H&R. That's a lovely looking hat. Nice wide ribbon on it too.
Thank you. I like it a lot, actually. The colors are quite nice. The brown is a cordovan tone, the grossgrain steel grey.
I'm wearing my charcoal pinstripe double breasted suit with Cordovan shoes, so the Champ was the obvious choice.
A bit of a slam dunk too.

I didn't know you were the elegant type. Hmmm. I prefer golf clothes all the time. Vive la liberté!!!

I am wearing my best Stratoliner today. The seller said it was pristine, and it is. One of my best hats.

Thanks H. It's just over 10cm, so about 4 inches. I think the angle of the photo makes it seem taller.

I looked again. The second selfie in particular made it a appear taller, when the rake doesn't show. Maybe that tight pinch with the deep dents adds to the impression too. Looks sharp!
I believe one of my hats is in for a bit of bashing.

Lovely, and perfect with golf clothes. I've heard rumors of people struck by lightening playing on Sunday morning.

Then there was the pastor that played hookie to sneak in 18 holes. On the seventh, a downhill par 3, he sunk the tee shot in a picture perfect hole in one.
He couldn't tell a soul.

I like to fake people out with the elegant look on Sunday morning, but with a pious demeanor.
It's 1:20 PM, so I have reverted to the norm.
Freedom!

However, the change of garb called for a color coordinated lid.
I happened to have this Hatco Dobbs stingy that feels like my second dunk of the day.

I know, Stefan. Thanks for letting them come to me. Rest assured, they have found a grateful head and I'll always think of you when I wear them [emoji145]
