Thanks, Ken! Actually, I'm almost tempted to get a stick because of the slippery, icey sidewalks here. People don't shovel snow here, they just trample it down until it gets really slick . I'm sure a walking stick would help me navigate the tricky areas. Funny how so many things that were common 'way back when were really quite practical.
