Bow treatment

ScottF said:
I told Tiffany to use her own judgement about ribbon color, and she picked a darker one, which is great.

I'm very pleased with it - when it's on my head, the front brim naturally dips down a little like a western.

Nice Panama Scott.
I have never had a Panama of my own so am no expert in any way but that loose casual bow treatment just 'looks' perfect. After seeing it that way I don't think there is a way it could be improved upon and it makes that a wonderful looking hat.:eusa_clap :eusa_clap :eusa_clap
Be well,

I love Optimo's bows; they're so full that they look like they've just been placed on the hat without being tacked down.

That dip in the brim though - before I read your post, I could see it in the photo - is just fantastic. :eusa_clap

Thanks guys. Lefty - the brim dip was totally unpredicted. You have to work a felt fedora to get such a look, but it just fell in place naturally on this one.

ok...it's a trick question. There's two Stetsons in this photo.

Just as you northern dwellers are stuffing your panamas in storage, we who dwell on the earth's bum are pulling ours out. Today being the first day of summer Downunder I donned my (I think 1950's) Stetson Panama in tribute. More on this hat in Panama Canal.

Oh, and the tie is also a Stetson.

It is snowing here in North Texas today. Rooftops in our neighborhood are covered lightly! I hope you enjoy your Stetson and summer as much as I love Stetsons and winter!

Thanks Rusty, Mr. Tutt, and Maam! I enjoy both the Champ and those boots. They are working on their fourth heel caps and second soles.

Open Road. Mid -sixties, as best I can tell, and immaculate:

I'm not generally a thin-ribbon fan, but everyone needs a nice-looking Open Road - that one looks great!

CRH, great colour combo. Is that a light green felt with a green ribbon? Or a tan?
...

The felt is actually a light tan, probably not quite beige. The brim binding would be beige.

Thanks for the compliments, everyone!

I wore my grey Whippet over the holiday weekend every day while visiting relatives. I had to break in the new sweatband. It's breaking in quite nicely. :D

I have to comment on a couple that that I find exceptional:

Kiltie, Wow! That OR is very striking. Excellent crease.

Mr. Deputy. That green Campdraft is a good choice for your deer hunt. I'd wear one except that state law requires orange and for good reason. We drive those critters. A person can not wear too much orange on a deer drive.

Thanks CRH....we just have to wear the vest & we are not allowed to drive deer. We save that for the wild hogs...
