See? It's that easy. Sometimes even us Loungers are prone to make a grab for the nearest pop icon when we see a certain hat configuration.

You know you're on the Fedora Lounge when Buffalo Bill Cody is your nearest pop icon. ;) -M

This is an old one: National Hat Stores of Chicago and Milwaukee. I have no idea who the manufacturer was, but it's much softer than my other Homburgs.

This is the hat that I've been wearing a lot recently. It's a 1930s McLaughlin. Superb felt - maybe the best I've "felt".

Here's me with Belfast "noir" author Stuart Neville:

Here's the hat in more detail:

Royal Stetson I purchased from Douglas

Raw edge brim 2 1/2
Crown 4 3/8
Ribbon 1 3/4

Shot was taken looking down so the brim looks wider than it would in a normal picture. Thank you again Douglas!;)

We all know Golden Era fedoras are classic and timeless but Alan, you make them seem so modern and edgy at the same time! I don't know how you do it!

The return of the Shudde Bros Open Road

A rainy day in Brisbane required a wide brim - and there's none better than the Shudde Bros Open Road. Mr Paladin will be pleased to see me wearing this little piece of Texas.

The tie is by El Ricos Los Wigwam weavers woven in 1940's in Colorado.
