I wore this Mallory out to lunch today, what a nice day today here in the Mts' of PA.

yes this one I couldn't reuse the original ribbon because the previous owner cut off the tails of the bow ... and because I needed to hide the fade line from it I opted for a slightly wider ribbon

Cheap wool felt by New York Hat Co. that I bought a couple of years ago, before discovering that there was such a thing as fur felt. Suggestions for what sort of new hat would work for me? It sounds like everybody's getting an Akubra Fed IV these days....

I paired a cardboard sweatbanded Champ with a thrift store Fidelity wool coat to get this "Brother can you spare a dime?" look.

Here's the hat. I wear it fairly often.
Should I get a real sweatband on it? [huh]

I really like this hat. I'm going to order a FedIV in brown next!

The poster hangs at the door to the men's room and says "Fellas".

This is my favorite hat (extra long oval). The sweatband says Cavanagh and the hat seems to have a "Cavanagh edge". The liner says Churchill. Is this from the early 60's?

For a Little League Opening Day shindig in the daytime, I wore an old Warner. Pliable enough to roll and with a felted in edge:

Doc, nice to have you in! Come by often. There are great threads on the Akubras, vintages, and moderns all over the place here. I have two Akubras; one FED IV and one new Camp Draft which I will post pics of later today. I like them for casual type wear but they just don't seem as dressy for suits, etc. as I like. Others here however, wear them well with suits that so its just me probably. The are great to work with because they come open crown and you can shape them as you please and that is really fun. Good luck on the quest!

Wombat, here we can get a product called Scouts Rain and Stain protector.
It is found at most western stores, its great for a little extra weather protection.

Thanks Jimmy... the pin is small enough that it seems to be a part of the hat.
And it really does not look out of place being on it.

Today I wore my new Akubra Stylemaster.

I really like this hat. I'm going to order a FedIV in brown next!

Same with me. I got my first Stylemaster about three weeks ago. Love it, so now I'm planning on ordering a Fed IV. I'm leaning toward the tawny fawn, but I might go with moonstone. It's such a nice color.
