I took a walk around the town where we live, Amiens, with my wife and our son. Amiens is about 70 miles north of Paris. I wore my vintage Dobbs:
The Christmas market downtown

Jules Verne's house, where he wrote his greatest books (now a museum)

A few blocks away is the house where Jules Verne died:

Here we are in front of the Cirque Municipal, a building Jules Verne helped build when he served on the Amiens town council:

Behind us is a nice little nativity scene and down the street is the biggest gothic cathedral in the world; this photo doesn't do it justice, it is a mountain of intricately carved stone dating from the 11th century:
