Insired by Diazawaguy's new VS stingy, I decided to wear this hat today. This is a nice one that I got from a local hat shop that was cleaning out it's attic; they were getting rid of a lot of new old stock hats from the 60's and 70's which they termed "old-man hats". I got it for ten euros.
It has a sewn-in liner which is a beautiful peach color. The sweat is super soft and supple. The brim measures 1 7/8", crown at front pinch is 4 1/2".

Thanks everyone. I really like this hat - its very soft and and takes a shape easily. I tend not wear my vintage hats often, I guess just because they're vintage and less easily replaced. It's much easier to get another Campdraft or Fed.

KITH, the brim is 2 3/4. My favorite brim width. Gives the brim a nice low snap.

Looking good as always, Russ. That picture shows the color well. I've got one coming and guess what...it's going to get a diamond. Might be Feb before it gets here though

^ Great combo, Alan. Love the look of that tie with the coat, as well as the accent that the scarf provides. You seem to be right at home in a Homburg!

Cheers,
JtL

Sunday Morning

Here's a pic of the hat I was wearing this morning with my Sunday Best. Not really my absolute best, but nontheless... Me and my Bailey's fur. Please excuse the raindrop on the side. The house dripped on me as I came in.
lol lol lol

BobC, that hat looks spectacular on you, by the way! If we all only looked half as good, we'd be set for life.

Here's today's hat - heritage fawn Fed Dlx IV. We were out running around in the stuff you see behind me. When we were out, it was still coming down.

Here's a closer look if you can't see it too well.

AlanC, nice look. I have to stop hanging around here so much. Now I'm starting to like Hombergs too. :eusa_doh:

Thanks, MCrider. You're too kind. I certainly do enjoy my hats, and I'm collecting them faster than my wife collects baskets these days.
